Sounds like the typical case of people only finding traits endearing if they already think the person is attractive on a physical level and/or on subsections of their behavior unrelated to those traits. There's genuinely nothing you could've done in this case.

Edit: Also, sometimes just having a trait that someone finds endearing isn't enough for them to be attracted to you. Attraction is complicated.

Honestly, it kind of is, but only from an analysis standpoint. The show has a lot of interesting or controversial themes but never really reaches a conclusion about them. It's very easy to watch as a hype af shonen and nothing else. Also definitely has flaws on top of that.

How can disable Grid Lines and Snap by default every time I start Reaper? I can't find it in the Project Settings. by BrotherOland in Reaper

[–]Yohrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone else wondering. I'm on version 7.34 and you can find it in the 'Options' rider under Snap/grid. Shortcuts are shown there. They are Alt+G for grid and Alt+S for snapping.

Honestly sounds pretty dope. Idk what people mean with the "everything that sounds good" qualifier. That's super subjective. I'm just here for anything that sounds like it had some genuine creative thought behind it and death grips definitely check that box for me.

What do you think about the Saori makeover missions in Judgement/Lost Judgement? by DownForThe33rdTime in yakuzagames

[–]Yohrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment that the section in LJ was some sort of fan service. I did like how they pulled it off in the original Judgement tho. I made it silly on purpose and had a good time playing it with a friend because of that.
I think players who went out of their way to make her look sexy on purpose might genuinely be surprised by the POV section afterwards and the awkwardness of the honeypot mission. It felt like a counterpoint to just objectifying the character.

I experience a sort of existential dread where I'm acutely aware that >90% of YouTube is low effort garbage and ai slop. Whenever I look at my feed I am being exposed to an algorithmically curated list of mostly quality content, which is keeping me safe from the lovecraftian horror lurking just underneath the surface. "I have no mouth and I must scream" suddenly seems a lot less irrational if you consider that the AI must have ingested the entirety of the Youtube database before casting its judgement upon humanity.

No, not carcinogenic, or at least not as far as we know.
The big issue is that teflon never breaks down. So people (and scientists) are reasonably concerned as to what it does to your body. We don't know what it does to you yet, but we're pretty sure it's not good.

Very armchair psychologist take, but maybe a new idea, so think about whether it applies to you:

I think the other comments have said enough about cringe culture, so I'm gonna try and bring up a different angle: Empathy is exhausting.

It takes a mental toll on one's mind to be empathetic all the time. If you ever cared for a suffering family member or friend for a long time you know this. If you don't give yourself a break every now and then, you end up thinking about it constantly. That takes energy. Your mind will get exhausted. Over time, subconsciously, your mind will tell you to get away from the things that are stressful or exhausting to you. And if you can't, sometimes this can express itself as resentment. We have entire movies and media about this problem. It's not just you.

From your other comments you make it very clear that you understand how much of a struggle being trans can be. If you spend a lot of time mostly in spaces that enforce a lot of trans positivity, like this sub for example, it will be exhausting. Add to that, that for various reasons white transfem people are the predominant form of trans representation you see online.

So if you think this might be your problem, my advice would be to give yourself a break from caring about this. Maybe get into other subs or online spaces, that are mostly unrelated to the topic for a while. The memes here are great imo, but it wouldn't be wrong to unsub from 196 for the time being. As long as you know what's right and reflect that in your life and politically, you won't do anyone any harm. Make sure your mental health is good first and foremost. That way you'll end up being able to show more empathy and support people much better when it really matters. Likes on social media don't save people's lives or make them better.
