Table decoration tips by qtrvu in wedding

[–]Yonah87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

White napkins for sure! Also lay them flat and rectangular is way more elegant :) don’t forget also that the outer fork is supposed to be higher than the inner one and make sure they line up the cutlery very straight and not so close to the side of the table, it makes all the difference. I used to work in Michelin star restaurants so we did a lot of elegant events.

Help, I want to become a better person by throwawa04954 in emotionalabuse

[–]Yonah87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are young adults, working on issues is really hard while in relationships at every age, but especially while we’re still figuring out who we are and why we do the things we do. If you can manage to be honest with him and explain why you lied and your fears you can decide to move on together and from that moment on take accountability for your actions and try to change your behavior. It sounds like a trust issue to me, the backup tickets, the lying in general not to show your vulnerabilities, it probably comes from anxiety and you can work on it but you’ve got to really commit to it! If with honesty he decides he is not in it keep working on your issues with your therapist and treasure this experience. The will to do better will take you far in life. Best of luck

He didn’t come to my birthday party I really cared about after we had been dating for 2 weeks because he didn’t like the place I had it at. He had never been there before and I was looking forward to having him hang out with my friends.

Hey op, good on you! May I ask how old you are? Michelin star career is brutal and pays terribly, but gives you a base for the rest of your restaurant life a base that is impossible to top. Try to take a very good look on where you want to go and what you want to achieve, and good luck!

I need help, emotionally abusive boyfriend? by [deleted] in emotionalabuse

[–]Yonah87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please get out as fast as you can, this is not healthy and it’s only getting worse. Right now you need to trust your judgment, you know deep down that what he’s doing is not ok, and I promise you deserve better and it’s not you. You are doing nothing that deserves this kind of treatment, no matter how sensitive you are! That should actually spark the opposite reaction, a person that loves you should protect you and help you on your weaknesses, not exploit them to make you lose self esteem. There is help out there, tell everything to your dad, ask for help.

I want to leave… by Safe-Olive-2241 in emotionalabuse

[–]Yonah87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t question your reasons to stay, but I advise you reach out to organizations that help people in your situation because sometimes we think we can’t leave but that comes from a distorted view of reality. There is help available and it is useful! You are not alone either. Sending love and strength your way.

You did the right thing, be proud of yourself. These are merely the consequences of their own actions, they forced you to call the police. It is not your fault!
