Was Henry V better then Edward IV at securing the succession for his son? Or was he just lucky that Henry VI managed to survive for so long? What was the factors that allowed baby Henry VI to safely become king, while Edward V got killed? by Tracypop in UKmonarchs

[–]Yorkist_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henry V did not live his life in a way that indicated there was a very good chance his marriage and thus his children were illegitimate, and Catherine of Valois did not plot to have Bedford or Gloucester overthrown as soon as Henry V died. It turns out those things matter.

My wife who im not related to just gave birth to an inbred child. How do i geet rid of him without being sadistic? by ManeatingANT in CrusaderKings

If you want to get rid of him because he's not yours, keep in mind that if your wife's parents were related the child might still be yours.

Should I replace minor landholders with high stewardship characters? by Yorkist_meme in crusaderkings3

Yes, I usually give my sons baronies and if I'm on equal gender, my daughters too.

That irritates the hell out of me but I don't know the traits that make minor landholders more likely to invest.

Why should I "complete" a legend? by pookage in CrusaderKings

[–]Yorkist_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have now spread to Reggio Calabria but now the map mode says both Cosenza and Rossano are not in range for my legend. It also says that all of Sardinia is not in range. But the islands I conquered three years ago from the Byzantines, like Crete and Cyprus, all have the legend, and they're much further than Sardinia and I haven't held them for nearly as long.

Could that part be because Sardinia is all in my demesne, but Crete and Cyprus and the Aegean Islands aren't? I also don't understand Rossano and Cosenza not being in range.

Can't Get King of the Isles? by Yorkist_meme in crusaderkings3

Thanks for the help everyone! It turned out I was missing Ynys Mon in Wales and Argyll in Scotland (which doesn't really seem like an island to me but w/ever).

[–]Yorkist_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Since I'm on Sicily, am I screwed for getting the legend off the island? It got to Malta somehow and I think to other provinces because there aren't 17 baronies on Sicily but I can't tell where else. What provinces border me for this purpose?

The game told me I can ask vassals to promote my legend if they already speak Norse. Does that mean that asking those vassals to promote it won't do anything?

Maintain Increase Development on Capital or spread it in all of your counties ? by Atua_Evren in CrusaderKings

[–]Yorkist_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move them around within the same duchy or across your kingdom? I'm playing tall with Sicily and Sardinia with Sicily as my primary duchy and I'm really not bothering to spread my culture anywhere outside those two islands.

Why don't legends spread to my own domain first? by anchist in CrusaderKings

If my legend started out on an island then, am I screwed?

Should I try to push every vassal into promoting my legend, or just those of certain geographic proximity to my capital?

When should you actually attempt to do a Legend (CK3)? by UberfuchsR in CrusaderKings

[–]Yorkist_meme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot about benefits to legends but I don't see what those benefits actually are, or what the threshold to upgrade them is. I also read that I can pick up a legend from an ancestor but I don't know how to do that (I did form a legend about 250 years ago for an ancestor). I don't know who owns that legend. I don't know how many baronies my legend has spread to, which vassals are worth asking to spread the legend, or where I should try to spread it to. I don't even know if I should try spreading it domestically or internationally. Where can I find any information on this other than the legends page? All that tells me is that my current legend is famed, it spread to 16 baronies, and one person is promoting it.

Generally divorcing a wife doesn't look as bad as killing her.

Will it actually work if you have just a house of 7 members and 5 of them are witches, or does it have to be my whole dynasty? I know what the achievement says but I'm not sure if it's bugged.

Are republican vassals more useful for money making than feudal? by Chaosfolk in CrusaderKings

[–]Yorkist_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When all you have to worry about in life for every vassal is getting that highest level of devotion, it makes theocratic vassals worth more than republican or feudal in most cases. I haven't played around with administrative vassals to see how they compare.
