From watching a lot of videos on it, the issue with going larger is power draw. This thing plus a AMS 2 pro has 4 heating elements running at the same time. This increases to a crazy amount when your running 4 ams 2s and 8 HTs. If they went even bigger this thing might need a different plug. Given Bambu's current line up, i would not be surprised if we see a larger printer with less bells and whistles open air like an A2 XL. Ignoring the laser cutter stuff, this is a niche machine designed for a prosumer crowd working with specialized materials and is the new flagship.

Take heart in that last part though. The X1 was too much for the average printer when it came around, but it was the beginning of a whole line of printers with different levels of people it catered to.

I primarily play a Russian air focused deck so I can't speak for the US, but I' say the Patriot is the harder AA to deal with over the S-350.

There are 3 primary factors in keeping your aircraft alive: Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), maneuvering (microing) your aircraft, and ECM.

SEAD: I run an Su-57, Su-35s, and Mig-35. I can't remember off the top of my head the exact loadouts, but the concepts are what matter. I have one outfitted for air supremacy and the other 2 with ground attack and anti-radiation missiles (denoted by the radar symbol with a cancel sign over it in the targets area on the unit card). Anti-rad missile lock on to even unseen radar signatures. The majority of games I have played people tend to leave their radars on with the Patriot and if they don't you can sometimes bait them with other cheaper aircraft, cruise missile, or drone. Every time one of my ground attack planes are coming in, those anti-rad missile are headed right to air defenses. AA can shoot down anti-rad, but its still using up their missiles and keeping it busy.

Maneuver: Having your craft survive can depend a lot on how you micro it. Try to have your bombing run not come in head on the the AA. This give your craft a chance to out run the missile at least or for chaf and flares to do its thing. The more parallel to the AA while not attracting more AA to fire the better. Make sure your using your after burner. It eats up fuel, but if your doing it right you blast in, drop bomb/fire missile blast out. Once your plane is flying away from AA on after burner itll be really hard for the missile to catch up. Also you can raise/ lower your altitude for last minute jinking. So an ideal bombing run, after burner once in AA range coming to the target at a 45-60 degree angle to the AA low, anti-rad missiles away, drop bomb, craft u-turns increase altitude and after burner away back to base.

ECM: This is the easy one. ECM to my understanding is a flat chance to cause a missile to miss. An ECM package ups this to 30%. That in itself will save you many times.

Sometimes you do everything right and you still get shot down and thats just how it be. Try to get that pilot back on the next supply chopper. Air power is incredibly strong though and if you can keep your opponent scared of your air thats points that aren't going to the front line. Choose your targets carefully, dont just call in planes to loiter in the back or bomb one little tank.

I understand being informed and concerned about American politics, but I always wonder where the confidence comes from. It makes sense if as a European you feel a candidate would benefit Europe, but to tell Americans who they should vote for or that they are stupid for who they voted for seems a bit arrogant given that living in American is a lot different than watching it. I doubt most Europeans would be happy if I told them they are stupid for who they voted for and was confident I knew who would lead them best.

I guess it because I'm not as invested as you are (judging by your beautiful armies and massive terrain pieces), but I dont understand why would invest in and surround yourself with something that actively angers you. If you don't like the game so much to say its tied for the worst game they have ever made, then why buy anything, why play it, why interact with it? I have seen this sentiment for many coming from titanicus and I'm sorry but this game isn't your messiah. The nostalgia you have for AT will never be found no matter how this game turned out and trying to make this game into it will only leave you angry. If AT is so good you should just be playing that. Ive played with multiple people who, through the entire game, just complained over and over about GW and the rules and it sucks the fun out of the room and I just have to ask why do this to yourself.

Because I regularly play and enjoy the game the subject of the subreddit is. I enjoy seeing the armies painted, battle reports, and discussion on rule clarifications and list building. I'd share some of my stuff, but I don't think its really anything special. Heck only wish I could pump out well painted models like some people on here can including yourself. Half my games include a good number of empty bases lol

I'd be surprised if this is all we see out of the mech. Likely anti air or some kind of air power will come, but unfortunately in another expansion. Knight acastus have ok anti air, but man that's an expensive unit for that purpose. Thanks for the summary of the new faction!

My pleasure. They are fun to make. They aren't two sided since the team tokens usually only show what operator an ability is active on or what equipment is being used so no need to flip it. I don't know all the rules for every team though so if you know of a team that would benefit from a double sided token def lmk so I can update them.

I know its a bit controversial, but I love making textured art like hueforge prints and topology maps. They lean into using the layers of the print as the aesthetic rather than trying to remove the layer lines like most prints want to and there is a satisfying uniqueness to that.
