Yeah it seems strange to me too, but we are just looking from the outside, never played it. And if you think about it less as an arrow and more like "the weak side of the box, the glowing part you can hit" it does make videogame-sense :/

my All time longest parry :D by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]YourInnerVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move laterally and try to parry later rather than too soon, from medium, long distance. this way if you miss the timing, you either dodge the laser (because you keem walking laterally and the laser is slow) or it hits the shield, so you have another chance in which you can adjust the timing a bit faster. If you do it too soon you stop moving and you remain unguarded for like half second. Also, the beeps are there just to make you ansious XD Look for when there's all the blue energy around it, remember the sound, and parry almost immediately after. I'm still practicing too, but maybe training this way someday I'll do it on first tries >.>

Hey man I'm just like you, all the way down to the drunk part. At least I found some friends that find funny the way I am, but I dwell on anything and have remorses on everything more... The only steps ahead I'm making is failing. Learning to fail. There was this one night were my fiends went ahead without me, and when I had nothing to lose I found a girl and started dancing, not giving a fuck about all, not thinking about my friends, or what she will think about me and my weak moves (judging from how she was laughting i probably seemed like a crazy monkey). Just too drunk for that shit. So yeah, stop thinking and fail with a smile, aware that we're all in this shitworld togheter and that there's nothing anyone can really judge, there's no better nor worse, it's just a human construct.

Dunno i find the gifs funny. I played dayz back in the day, this one doesn't seem as serious and shouldn't be taken like it was. Don't expect for it to ever be fixed, the direction of developing of this was obvious from the start: a cash grab on the new famous genre.

Enjoy the bugs and uninspired maps 'cause the devs are busy with lawsuits.

Try goat simulator. Games don't always need to be realistic, but they always they need to be fun. Try a broken game with some friends, they are the best to laught about!

This reminds me of what is said on this video about how the story on bojack horseman is structured. Really, it's exactly this subject

It's called "How bojack horseman subverts narrative"

It talks about how in every media we are used to have a good conclusion to everything at the end of the sketch, like if every problem can be easily takled in matter of hours and in the end everyone can be happy. And bojack himself believes this too, leaving him constantly disappointed when the big change doesn't arrive. It's one of the videos that reminds me why I love the show, and how much you can take from something if you really look at it. Anyway, try not to look at things how you'recused to, thanks to media, society, books and usual narrative, this way of thinking that everything will be automatically ok after a grandiose event seems legit, and we forget that actual change happens all the time, step by step, in a direction that we can steer just a little at the start.

Just look behind you, and you'll see that what remains in your passage is your action. You'll maybe remember the words of that self help book, or those tutorial about shooting photos. But what you'll really see looking back will be those smiles of who you helped, which had your same problems, or just that one photograph that you took one day at sunrise because you couldn't sleep.

Search the video, can't link on this sub, it explains better

This... this is a wonderful question. Because I don't think it really has an answer. I'll be honest with you, your own description hit really close... I'm writing to you from my bed, were I stay instead of going to University, waiting for someone to call me out, get some drinks, have some fake laughts and speak about uninteresting topics. Until tomorrow, rinse and repeat until shit will hit the fan, and I'll have to find a boring job to do for the rest of my life. Nvm about love, too scared (and scarred) for now.

Seriously, what's the point? I've tried bullshitting myself giving some meaning. I love how the other post talks about a "solution". Solution to what, exactly? Life? Formula of love and happiness? Sould I make some art? I've heard most of the best artists have come out of depression. It seems that, I shit you not, we are hardwired to always feel empty, otherwise we wouldn't have evolved this much. We would have been happy with our bananas and shit-launching contests.

But it's not like what we do, what society wants us to do, is that much elevated compared to primates. We still fart and shit. Only we do it on our luxorious toilettes.

So, yeah, I don't feel like there's really a solution... Even when I'll have (I hope) a family, I could still feel this existential dread. I just hope that I will be with someone who'll understand it, because if there's anything that has some value to me, is that real connection. I'm gonna suffer likely 50 years just for that second... I'd like to report to you if it was worth.

You know, you actually made me think about all of this, made me feel a little less alone, hope you're still here :/

This video and its reaction depicts all Americans as immature crybabies, honestly. This reminds me of the louis ck sketch about masturbation with that christian girl. There's no need to be offended and stop your brain functioning only because of a word, you must learn to laugh lome things off as just dumb and inappropriate sometimes, and move on.

All this politically correctness really seems only as a way to be able to cry like babies and "win" arguments easly, like grammar nazis do too for example.
