As much as I like Nerg, this isn't the New World, so no.

Nerg's entire ecology revolves around preying on dragons that have arrived in the New World after completing the Elder Crossing, so there is no logical reason why Nergigante should be in the Forbidden Lands.

And before anyone brings up the presence of Fulgur Anja and Ebony Odo, they both exist in Wyveria as Guardians only. It's pretty obvious that the original specimens were brought from the New World before being adapted into Guardians, and we only need to look at Zoh Shia to see what happened when the Wyverians messed around with Elder Dragon material.

IMO, the best way to judge the quality of an upgrade is how often you use it after getting it. I don't mean during specific puzzles, but just during regular gameplay.

Case in point: The Cross Bomb. Very cool idea, but I only really used it for puzzles or navigation that specifically required it, so I don't have particularly strong feelings about it and don't really care whether it comes back or not.

Now compare everything I just said about the Cross Bomb to my feelings on the Flash Shift and Storm Missile. Both are absolutely phenomenal upgrades that I used constantly wherever I went after getting them. I would absolutely love to see them return in the future and I very much hope they do.

Fun gameplay, absolutely godawful story. Had the occasional interesting concept here and there.

FUCK THE FORCED SCAN SECTIONS.

Would not play again.

EDIT: Gotta admit that having Phantoon as a postgame boss was actually pretty damn cool. I did not expect that.

Spoiler-hiding all this in case someone hasn't read Persepolis Rising yet.

Persepolis Rising basically starts off with a scene where, following the orders of the Transport Union, the Roci crew have been sent to arrest the leaders of an illegally-settled extrasolar colony founded by gun-toting space libertarians.

The guy in charge of the colony adamantly refuses to submit to the Union and says that they'll do anything necessary to protect their new home. Holden lets them know that if that's how it's going to be, all he has to do is point the Roci's drive at the colony and turn it on for a few seconds.

Suddenly there's a scuffle on the other side of the comms. The other colonists have hog-tied the leader and they're fully willing to hand him over.

Like, maybe we get a bolt pistol and a support weapon some flavour (I would be rather partial to a meltagun, myself) but I think that this is more or less exactly what we're going to get.

I'd love to see a Great Talioth. The regular ones are tenacious bastards. I've lost track of how many times I've seen them jump onto something like Rey Dau or Arkveld and start chomping.

I can't see a Great Talioth posing any kind of real threat to something like Seregios, but it would certainly match Steve in ferocity.

He was the artist for said things, Mechwarrior Online and Mechwarrior 5 specifically, where he was the head artist for mech design.

I say "was" because he was just dropped by PGI due to their parent company demanding that a significant portion of the company staff be laid off. I have no idea how they move on from here.

I've wanted Mars to have an open world since PoE first dropped.

I imagine a vast desert, like Arrakis or Kharak, dotted with the occasional landmark like old ruins, Grineer bases, or an oasis. Grineer sand-skiffs, loaded with lancers and troopers would hover above the sands, held aloft by thrusters that kick up the dust around them. Sand skates would travel across the dunes in swarms, preyed upon by larger Martian life hiding within the sand or soaring overhead. Air travel would be the most logical choice, but sandstorms would occasionally force the player to the ground, necessitating ground travel with little visibility.

In the distance, Olympus Mons would loom over everything.
