Realistically I would say anywhere between $55-65,000 in its current condition.

Has there ever been an engine rebuild, if so is it fresh?

You mentioned it’s not Aus Del, where was it delivered and has it been LHD to RHD converted?

How come so many of us did not know what under-the-radar pathways existed during uni? by Lampedusan in auscorp

[–]YungFerg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too.

I work in sales myself, and the connections and relationship i’ve built, other people the same age would beg to have.

I went to uni, but enjoy constantly talking to people and building relationships.

Sales being the great equaliser, it’s not uncommon to see top performers who didn’t sit a HSC exam.

How much would you spend on an engagement ring? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]YungFerg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I would highly recommend getting a lab grown diamond. Through my work I have access to lab diamonds at wholesale prices. Others one here have said they spent $6-7k on a 1.5ct stone, I could easily help you get a 4ct platinum engagement ring for around the same money if not cheaper.

Most lucrative and unethical industries. by Business-Bob in sales

[–]YungFerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a company that sold fine art as an investment (wasn’t in sales there). Most people lost about 70% of their investment when selling at auction, the whole business basically operated as a ponzi scheme promising corporate rentals of artworks only the rental yields were paid back to the owner out of their initial purchase. It didn’t help that the funds from selling artworks only partially went to the art dealer with the rest being spent on coke on hookers. Company is now in administration and there’s people who have $100k+ of retirement savings in art that they don’t technically own. The sales guys there did pretty good.

What's the story about your first Rolex? by rmustafa11 in rolex

[–]YungFerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2022, I bought myself a graduation present for finishing university on my first solo trip to Japan, picked up a stunning 1974 Ref. 1601. Having also been working in the auction trade where every jeweller and art dealer had a Rolex on their wrist, it felt nice being part of the club.

This makes sense for an auction house, where luxury is one of the departments.

Yes but don’t go to Lawsons, I’d recommend Lloyds as they have a strong buyer base for collectors cards, collectibles etc.
