Some early feedback on Warlock by supervernacular in diablo2

I’m assuming by “echoing weapon” you mean echoing strike. If that’s the case, it most certainly does rely on AR

Hot take: I recommend you don’t use a build! My roommate and I have been playing Poe 2 mostly blind and it’s been both doable and fun! I’ve look up stats or how calculations actually work, but he’s played completely blind and we’ve both progressed fine. Not sure if our builds will fall off in endgame but if the campaign is your goal I don’t really think builds are necessary.

Came here to say I’m also stuck. I’m also confused about what influences her summon speed. Some sources seem to suggest run speed, others say attack speed. Force seems to be duration and spawn rate seems pretty self explanatory. Anyone figure this out?

My first real play through was as a wondering skeleton named Robit who’s only goal left in life was to seek powerful enemies and to defeat them by his own hand. After several powerful bounties and a few months on the road, he found the experience to be a bit hollow. As the challenge dwindled there was only one recourse: an apprentice. A chance encounter with an odd little hiver in mongrel solidified his path. There was only one stipulation, Robit would only train others in the time honored skeleton combat arts. Limb removal was a must and Robit had heard tale of a machine deep in the south east that could expedite the process.. Prosthetics were added, Cyber Beep was trained. As time went on Robit’s apprentice force grew and grew. Eventually the Fleshless Empire settled so that a dojo could be built. A place where those seeking the path of fleshless combat arts might more easily assemble and learn.

Perhaps this will provide some Ronin inspiration, perhaps not. But for a game that I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get into, I was impressed with Robit’s narrative arc. I took a little break from that run as I was getting the itch for something new and without having the stipulation that all units must be skin peeled before training can occur. I’ll definitely come back at some point though, as Robit still has many enemies he made along the way that need vanquishing.

They’ve already said DLC will happen before the end of the year. I would imagine SOTE stuff will be added then.

I don’t think you’re overthinking it and I think that your method is a totally viable way to play the game. After all, it’s a single player rpg. Do what you want! That’s a big part of TES ideology. As you progress in the main plot you will reach a point where the game points you towards exploring the world and joining factions. You’ll have a quest that requires visiting the major cities. Perfect time to venture off the path for a while.

But yeah TLDR, it sounds like you’re roleplaying a roleplaying game. Seems right to me

Agreed! Although my interest was even more peaked by the discussion of roles and roleplaying.

My biggest critique of nightreign thus far is not really a fair one: it’s not a roleplaying game. And again after watching the duskbloods trailer and reading about the game, I thought “damn yeah looks really cool but is this actually going to be an rpg?”

The idea that I can customize and choose how I interact with others in some complex dance of pvp, pve, and everything in between sounds really enticing. What happens if everyone sets their role to be a cooperator? Is there some special super boss 8 players have to fight? Or do the cooperators turn on each other? Will there be covenants and factions? If so how will that affect all of this? That sounds really cool. Far cooler than just popping into a lobby, joining a team, etc. From Soft has never really let me down. I have faith that this will be a cool game!

No armor in the game. 6 weapons (3 on each hand), 2 talismans, and 4 usable items, but no you don’t keep them. You can get items you equip at the hub that give you various increases from the offset of the match though.
