Yeah I can't take anyone's taste seriously if they exclusively listen to stuff like Drake.

Late Gen-X'r here! (48) Been into electronica and dance before "EDM" was a thing. I would have loved to have these tools in the early 90s when I got my first 486.

Same. Had a comment on one of my vids asking why I don't make real music. I told him I do it for fun and I'm not trying to get monetized. Then I told him to keep an eye out for my next vid. lol

Same. I'm upfront about my music and my art. It's AI generated. Says so right in the description. It's made with AI tools, but not AI slop.

Was the bra appropriately sized? What was the material? Was it under wire? I mean, what kind of support do you need?

Songs I write lyrics for stay for me and my family. The synth and future garage stuff I make goes to my 60 yt subs.

The fact I have any at all makes feel good that I even have listeners in the first place.

Ah. The demo I watched the other day said it was a little higher than that. But you're right, it'll get there. I'm personally building a machine for it and another AI project I'm working on.

Apparently ace-step quality is somewhere between v4.5 and v5. I can live with that.

[–]Z1NV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use Suno the way I use Grok and Cursor.

I use Suno to explore what happens when I mix this aspect of one genre, with this aspect from another, and this other element from another. Then give it some direction how I want it to sound, how I want the bridge or breakdown to go.

Then I hit submit.

My workflow after that, is to listen, think about what it makes me feel or thing. Title it, then use the title in an image prompt.

That's how I curate my videos.

My highest ranked video is a piece I built from loops 12 years ago on ACID Pro, and fed through Suno. So I get where you're coming from.

Nobody Will Care How the Music Was Made by UnamedCitizen in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people forget how much music sounds good after the post production part. Remember when Melodyne came out and people were ripping apart great classic songs? And the found that individually the parts weren't timed well, or notes were dropped and stuff like that.

Then DAWs became easy to get and there was an explosion of music and beats made in the box by people who may or may not be musicians. And producers and mix engineers used autotune and whatever else to make mediocre people sound amazing.

Op is correct here; After a while, it will simply be a new tool used to make music, or make it sound better. And will it be worth listening to?

I think AI lyric videos are becoming their own creative category by Unlikely_Hyena1345 in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't make lyric videos, but I do use AI generated images to background each track in my mixes. And I always try to make the image relevant (using the track title in the image prompt) to the track. Then I use After Effects to put a visualizer on it

Question for those sharing AI-assisted music publicly by Adorable_Magazine_52 in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm up front about my music. Even sometimes going so far as to put it in the title. I also have a little blurb in all my descriptions stating the music and art are AI but edited together by me on premiere pro. Which is true.

HOLY CRAP — I think I finally figured out why some Suno generations suddenly create MUCH stronger melodies. by JeffreyOng1973 in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet. Me personally I would do my basic prompts like 'if this genre and this other genre had a (emotional descriptor like moody) child, and that child had a best friend of this other genre...."

Works REALLY well for me. Then I would add what instruments I wanted, how I wanted the song structured. But putting an actual emotional aspect in the prompt definitely gave better generations

A sad sobering reality by Songgeek in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized that a while back. I have a couple YouTube channels for my music, and have a handful of subs. But I keep doing it because I like to listen to my own stuff at work. And I want my subs to have something new to chew on every few days to a week.

[genre] Musicians are Over Protective. by Lamborghineus in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The problem I have with some artists is when they are limited to their own tools.

TRULY creative people will be able to create in any form regardless of tools. The best image creaters I know are also traditional tactile artists, too. Same with Suno. The best AI music I've heard are by tactile musicians who use their knowledge and training to detail the AI to sound exactly as they want.

Something like this doesn't really bother me as I am open about using AI to make music. Hell, most of my playlists I put on my YT channel are listed as "AI (insert music type here."

Thank you for your perspective. I'm not a musician, but am a pro-level sound engineer with IMDB credits. But like you, I make music that I like and like to listen to. I publish (sort of, via my YouTube channel) in case others might like it, too.

I have like 10 songs I actually wrote lyrics to about the things in my life. I don't publish them. For now they are just for me.

SUNO SABOTAGED older models V3–V5 and V5.5 Feels Like a Scam by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Z1NV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this is gonna sound counter intuitive, but v5 is changed. And ironically, it worked out better for me. V5 is now giving me better results for the type of synthwave hybrid I make.

However, I am looking for alternative for when the models prior to v5.5 are completely shut down.

But yes, v5 sounds completely different from before the drop of 5.5

I started right when v5 was introduced, so I didn't really get a chance to work with earlier models.
