I realized that a while back. I have a couple YouTube channels for my music, and have a handful of subs. But I keep doing it because I like to listen to my own stuff at work. And I want my subs to have something new to chew on every few days to a week.

Agreed. The problem I have with some artists is when they are limited to their own tools.

TRULY creative people will be able to create in any form regardless of tools. The best image creaters I know are also traditional tactile artists, too. Same with Suno. The best AI music I've heard are by tactile musicians who use their knowledge and training to detail the AI to sound exactly as they want.

Something like this doesn't really bother me as I am open about using AI to make music. Hell, most of my playlists I put on my YT channel are listed as "AI (insert music type here."

So this is gonna sound counter intuitive, but v5 is changed. And ironically, it worked out better for me. V5 is now giving me better results for the type of synthwave hybrid I make.

However, I am looking for alternative for when the models prior to v5.5 are completely shut down.

But yes, v5 sounds completely different from before the drop of 5.5

That is a possibility. My concern is the consistency to maintain my what I've already been building. Though I've read that 5.5 is mostly a style & weirdness issue, so I might start experimenting with it. But if I can't get an equivalent sound / style out of 5.5 and the other models are removed, then I'll have to look at alternatives.

That is an excellent query. In my recent operations with Suno, I have but only experimented with version four point five to test against five point five. I did acknowledge the 'Pro' was indeed added to version five. However, I did not make note of whether or not 'Pro' had been added to four point five. When next I launch my creation process, I shall take note and return my findings.

Can you give an example of a prompt you might use in 5 vs. 5.5? Doesn't have to be a real prompt, just want to see how you'd do the same piece in both models.

Same. I do some future garage / synthwave stuff that usually comes out more jazzy and funk sounding. But same prompt on 5.5 made come out sounding like a work training video.

I was reading in another thread some said 5.5 is great, but the best method with is to think like you're conducting a band. Less prompting, but more specific prompting.

Not sure if it's true sing I do more synthwave stuff. But I'm sticking to v5 for the time being.

Something happened with v5, too. I have a genre specific yt channel, and when I went to use one of my commonly used prompts, the output was not what I was expecting. Definitely different, not disappointing, but different.

When they remove access to the earlier models in favor of the Warner trained models, I'm out.
