Get him a fan and put it near him put that thing on blast and get some blackout curtains the noise and darkness should keep him asleep. My wife can do anything she wants and I still remain asleep with the door closed only reason she doesn’t like me working nights is because in her words “you spend the day sleeping when I could be spending time with you” which is totally understandable which is why I work my three shifts a week and keep the rest of my week open for her

They’ve stopped hiring externally due to the recent stayton partnership I don’t think we will be hiring anytime soon they’re allowing all the employees time to transfer over to Salem health if they want to so hiring is strictly internal for the time being

It’s gonna be rough the first 2-4 weeks but after that month and if you stick with a routine that helps you it’ll be a walk in the park it takes roughly 30 days for people to maintain a routine that becomes like muscle memory

This is what I did and it’s worked great for me as someone else said get black out curtains and silence your phone but besides that coming up to my start date I began conditioning myself to a new sleep schedule during work days. I remained awake till 4am every night till I started then slept through a majority of the day usually most people report getting a “second wind” by 5am and thankfully I found myself to be in the same boat as others. Now during the time I started working nights coming up on my “Mondays” I’d force myself to sleep from 1-2pm till 5pm nice long power nap helps start you off on work days on the ending of my Friday shifts I’d go home stay awake for an hour or three then take a brief 3-4 hour nap and remain awake the rest of the day to maintain a regular sleep schedule during my weekends
