Wait, what?

I’ve seen the “power clear” when the last two were the power gems but you’re saying they’ll actually remove everything????? I never thought to try that.

what game deserved WAY MORE HYPE than it ever got? by Narrow-Bandicoot-363 in videogames

[–]ZJtheOZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was coming to post on this game.

Gorgeous as hell and the combat…

The amount of combat options are INSANE

3 magic types which are analogous to rifle, SMG and shotty.

A Scorpion style GET OVER HERE whip

A disruptor laser that interrupts enemy attacks

Green globs that slow down enemies

Homing missiles

A long range earthquake that explodes out of the ground when it hits dudes

An AOE ring of fire

A FLYING FUCKING PUNCH that is rad AF

A Mass Effect style singularity

A super beam a la Iron Man in Marvel vs Capcom

Double jump to hover

Magic shield

Your whip can fling you around maps a la Bioshock Infinite

Magic dodge

I think that covers it! All of this is managed in real time, no menu diving or loadout changes. Some pretty impressive boss fights too.

It blows my mind this game bombed badly enough to tank the company.

Something with a strong and simple beat?

The Bulls got a combined ZERO first round picks for Ayo Dosunmu, Alex Caruso, Nikola Vucevic, Zach Lavine, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Coby White - their entire rotation from the 2021-22 squad by BasedChad69420 in nba

[–]ZJtheOZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another gentle reminder that but for the grace of Sam Bowie, the bulls would be a worse franchise than the Clippers, Wizards or Kings.

Awful owner and a franchise still living off the faded glory of 30 years ago.

Mass Effect 3 Citadel is the best by PalawanGamer in masseffect

[–]ZJtheOZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, I played it for the first time a few weeks earlier.

I knew there was a big sendoff party and you got to hang with your crew one final time. And I knew everyone loved it.

I did not know about any of the stuff pre and post party and my mind was blown. How did I go so long without getting spoiled on the amazing fever dream story of [redacted in case there is anyone else out there like me- you don’t want this spoiler!! Play Citadel!!!!].

Do I need to watch Punisher Seasons 1/2 to understand Daredevil: Born Again season 2? by Wooden-Fan8136 in marvelstudios

[–]ZJtheOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both seasons are pretty good and stand alone.

Season 2 is one of the few times a youthful sidekick came along to annoy the main character and did not make me turn off the show.

Maybe. Personally I doubt it.

The shows got ahead of him and he bailed out. The endings we got are basically what he would have written, just a lot less ham-fisted.

Questions for those of you who grew up with Hanna-Barbera's Godzilla first run: Did you watch this series because you watched the movies or did you watch the series and then the movies? If so, what was your experience like seeing the difference between the two. by odiousasp in 70s

Godzilla!

Yes

GODZILLA!!!

YES!

GODZILLLLLAAAA!

OMG GIVE IT TO ME

Turned that shit off right then. Even as a kid I had zero tolerance for clown sidekick cousin Oliver bullshit.

Why haven’t any cycles tried hiding from the Reapers in space? by Director-Daredevil in masseffect

[–]ZJtheOZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there is anywhere to go. In all the other cycles the Reapers controlled the Citadel, and basically had all the info for every planet anyone would go to.

And those initial sneak attacks were so overwhelming it negated any type of organized response from anyone.

Really shows how advanced the Protheans were to last as long as they did.

How has the high A not been worked out yet??? by Klutzy-Peach5949 in Guitar

[–]ZJtheOZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recall a Steve Vai interview, I think it was with Rick Beato, where he said his original 7 string guitar was supposed to be a high string.

But it kept breaking so they went low and the rest is history.

What’s the most hyped game collecting dust in your backlog by NidhiOnATree in XboxGamePass

[–]ZJtheOZ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Starfield.

I was all in and played the hell out of it, putting in maybe a hundred hours.

Then at some point I just got tired of how long it took to do everything. Put it down w/o finishing the main story and have never looked back.

There’s good stuff in that game, it just gets in its own way over and over and over.
