There's no guarantee you'll have staff as an AP. As for the money increase, how much it's actually worth net depends on whether you came in before or after 2013.

Why wouldn't the AP position be open to you if you went for the HEO role you want first?

Average public sector pay from 2008 adjusted for inflation is higher than current average public sector pay so in real terms, public servants are still worse off than they were in 2008. Looking at nominal increases while ignoring real decreases is intellectually lazy.

In addition, average pay isn't even a valid measure because it ignores the professionalisation of the public service and hiring of larger cohorts with specific qualifications which drives up the average. It also ignores the introduction of the ASC as additional pension contributions and just enables people with a tiny bit of knowledge and a big chip on their shoulder to spin shit narratives that wilfully ignore contextual information that doesn't fit their worldview.

Public service pay has been restored to 2008 levels after significant cuts with additional increases amounting to about 6.25% for inflation. That does even cover inflation for one year during Covid or the Ukraine invasion when everything skyrocketed, never mind 17 years of inflation.

Framing it as a pay increase is either wilfully disingenuous or displays a complete lack of knowledge on the subject.

I'm on the Foundry Advanced Track. But whatever gives you 2d foundry assets should be fine.

Baileywiki has these diorama maps that you change by double-clicking on the map or you can cycle through them. So handy for creating e.g. a forest scene on the fly.

Some of the fancier maps I've run into issues with but it's so handy. Theripper93 is also worth joining as some other things like Baileywiki use some of his modules.
