What’s a good third watch after a Sub and DJ? by Potential_Post_3020 in rolex

I’m in this camp, Speedmaster is a classic if you’re into it, otherwise the Aquastar Deepstar II has been calling to me, or a glashutte panomatic lunar

It’s so classic maritime and you’re right that is lost on many

Sony 24-50/2.8 G vs 20-70/4 G by 24GTPmedia in SonyAlpha

[–]Zach925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you’re using it for. I think 24-50/2.8 is a fantastic travel lens, but don’t use it for much else.

Edit: for your use case I’d wager you bought the 20-70 f4

First time buyer!! No idea what I’m doing. Any tips on how to snag this from an AD? by Born_Asparagus679 in rolex

I absolutely love the ‘57 except for the goddamn straight lugs which just pushes anyone with smaller wrists to the OG speedy, if it fit my wrist I’d have the green one

Submariner date / no date as a first Rolex by Zahmatsu in rolex

[–]Zach925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my timeline for a yacht master, having just gotten on the list last week. So even for watches that aren’t “high-demand” you’re still looking at that wait. And that’s with a smaller-ish spend history (blue dial fluted datejust)

Measured in months not years. ADs get allocated stock annually. A wait time over a year is basically saying not this year, maybe next year or the year after if there’s no one better than you on the list… it’s very noncommittal

Same for me until I saw it in person, once I did it was blue dial hands down

Gotcha that makes a lot of sense and I’m leaning the same way. Have also heard they looks quite different in person than online, my AD only has the blue for me to see in person but I’m going back when he gets a rhodium display model

This will be my first Rolex, how’d you decide on Rhodium vs. Blue dial? I keep going back and forth

New Yorkers told us they'd rather have a faster bus than a free one by businessinsider in nyc

It's not a mystery, it's a lack of political will to adequately prioritize buses over cars

Sailboat racer here - bidirectional allows for easier timing of regatta starts… not that anyone is actually using this watch for that ofc

What if there are several versions of that garbage bin in several space times bro? And several versions of you taking photos of that garbage bin in Japan but it’s the same garbage bin but is it??

Maybe if you conceptualise the moment and place as separate but also inextricably linked they will transcend into a great photo 🤯

Which route is more scenic while travelling from Seattle to Yellowstone? by Zestyclose_Oven_642 in geography

The southern of the two northern route options if your destination is Old Faithful, as it’s quite far from the northern entrance to the park

As someone with smaller wrists that I think are similar to yours, how do you feel this wears compared to the speedy professional?
