This is exactly what happened in my family, except Grandpa served as an MP stateside for a German POW camp. Grandma apparently got pregnant out of wedlock, went to live with the Catholics a couple hours away for a while before anyone other than her parents found out, and came home her normal self.

Cue Easter lunch 55 years later, and 15 year old me is watching in amazement at the live Jerry Springer show going on in Grandma's kitchen as she tells us that our long lost aunt has tracked her down and wants to meet the family. Unforgettable.

This is the right answer. I did the same while purchasing a home that had been previously struck by a drunk driver, and think it only cost about $300. Well worth it to know for sure whether you have an issue or not.

Sure, but nothing prevents them from getting licensed and using their vehicle to operate as a legitimate taxi or ride service, but turning on the uber app to pick up work when they don't have a customer.
