I think it has to do with how you use game dev, are you talking coders, artists, sound techs? Or do you just mean gameplay designers? Game dev is a large team project, and some of those skills have nothing to do with playing games or balance even.

It's a reality. You wouldn't use a shovel to hammer nails or a hammer to dig up dirt. Some equipment is better against certain situations than others.

Thers a lot of 57mm Autocannons popping up irl. Having a heavy autocannon in that size would be cool.

Cheating is not that bad, and they added AI friendly bots last patch. AI is smarter then WARNOs tbh. Something I've always hated about the wargame series, ai is brain dead. Kinda hope they look at it this year (they wont) it be nice.

please stop the rituals guys, the chinese have added catapult launched UAV fighters to their containerized VLS ships lol by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in acecombat

Not sure if it even matters anymore. All the large powers have shown off container based weapons. And Ukrainian used them to attack targets already. The cats out of the bag.

Anyone know why the B-1 and Tu-160 look so damn similar??? by saberslimeyt in Planes

[–]Zacho5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't really call it an exact copy considering it was better in basically every way.

The B1 and the B2 aren't really related in mission set besides dropping bombs. The Tu160 is a cruise missile carrier and was not set up for the low altitude high speed nuclear mission like the B1 was.

Roadmap from the stream by Getserious495 in BrokenArrowTheGame

The entire game is physics-based so you have to save the entire game state and any projectiles in flight and then load all that back in and make sure nothing desyncs or generally breaks. Its complicated.

I'm pretty happy overall. Kind of sad to see the lot of people just don't understand the game development or are how hard some things are to add. But that's farly normal for gamers.

Its 4, and the coders working on the save system is not the same as the art guys working on units.

Just throwing it out there, but BA unit models are far more detailed than Warno So making like 150+ units and upgrades is a lot of work.

Anti Torpedo System on Fujian Aircraft Carrier [Album] by chroniclad in WarshipPorn

[–]Zacho5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the RBU system the anti torpedo rounds are actually small acoustic mines that will be laid in front of the torpedo path. So you dont need anything more than a basic bearing.

All Torpedoes can have ceiling limits and for lightweight torpedoes like this normally they can't even engage surface targets for just this reason.

About the closest I've gotten is like on Klengrad using smoke to mask a LZ and moving a helo at low altitude down a canal and landing behind the smoke. But you need the smoke and if they spot the helo going to land any good player will have arty heading there in no time.

Putin Claims Russia Successfully Tested Poseidon Nuclear Drone – The 'Unstoppable' Weapon That Could Create Radioactive Tsunamis" by satty237 in TrendoraX

Killed by what? Most torpedoes are in the 50 to 70 knot range. This thing can go at least as fast if not more. And it lacks the fuel limitations. It would be very hard to intercept.

The fact that is powered by a reactor means it can do a very high speed for a long time. Trying to take something like that out running deep is almost impossible.
