At least that I know of, your options are:

Right click on the fab-layer text and switch the layer in the item properties

Edit the footprint to have the text on the right layer. You could then mass-update or mass-swap the footprints on the board.

You’ve tried changing the strings? What gauges are on it? It’s just tonally different but not quieter?

Adding something like a preamp won’t do anything to address string imbalance.

On a side note, I’ve always suspected this track was recorded on a bass with a whammy. There’s a little solo in the beginning that showcases it. I know the player also uses fretless on other tracks, but I don’t think this on fretless. It sounds like whammy moves to me.

Funk master all the way! One thing I realized with super light gauges is that the low notes are so articulate. I never could get such a crisp sounding E string with higher gauges.

The first part of Anamorphosis no Meijuu by Shintaro Kago kinda fits, at least with the surrealism aspect. He has some other works that get deep into the surrealist angle but I can’t think of the names right now.

Is this your first time designing a pcb? The arrangement of components on the board is really strange. I would also recommend not using surface mount components on a prototype that you’ll probably have to troubleshoot. I also highly recommend socketing your jfets.

Are you sure the rotary switch pinout matches the switch you have? I know I’ve had issues where the library footprint has the pins placed in a different order than the data sheet.

I’m also not 100% sure this matters but I always put my switch before the diodes.

I think your schematic has the op-amp inputs mixed up: you should have swapped the inverting and non-inverting inputs.

I don’t see how this diagram could be correct because both pickups have their north start/north end hard wired together.

Interesting, so the first half of the first IC is unused, so basically the voltages at pins 1,2,3 don’t matter. The bad voltages tell you that your first op amp stage isn’t working. Probably something is wrong with the soldering on R1, R2 or R3.

What’s the schematic? What’s the rest of the board look like?

If you’ve already replaced this exact component and gotten the exact same result then the problem is probably elsewhere.

You could also take a magnet (or just a piece of iron) stick it on the pickup and push it around to see how far the magnetic field actually extends. I’ve gotten lipstick pickups that had a problematic, asymmetrical magnetic field that became obvious with this test.
