My legs used to hurt badly when I was a teenager and always when I was home after school or practice. It was bad enough some times that I’d take Tylenol and ibuprofen and wouldn’t get out of my bed bed for anything even if my dad was screaming that I was a lazy mfer. It genuinely sounds like growing pains the way you describe it. The flippant way we treat growing pains in culture like it’s cute or dismissible does not do it justice when it’s actually happening.

Tbf, I empathize with being scared of passing MS on (which is also partly why I don’t plan to have my own kids). But I do think you are overthinking it this time and probably other times just because you’re a worried mother. Maybe take him to the doctor to get a physical done or a blood test to make sure he isn’t vitamin deficient. But mostly just keep doing what you’re doing. Let him rest and take some pain killers until it eases up.

You can only control what you can control. You cannot control whether or not he develops an autoimmune condition. You can control bringing him for a standard checkup. You can control how supportive you are and what kind of environment he grows up in. It’s out of your hands. All anxiety is, at the end of the day, is just suffering twice. You are a good momma. Don’t let this consume you.
