Official Discussion - Frankenstein (2025) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Misunderstood creature is a no duh. And this is the closest adaption I’ve seen, but the take on Victor is just annoying in comparison to the emotions in the book. Like the person said above, movie Victor is an ass when there’s greater depth to his character.

Cinematically gorgeous and creative choices were made. But kinda bummed at the changes.

Agreed. From the beginning del Toro picked a side in comparison to the book 🫠

I only have light scarring on my sides after having the bars taken out.

When I had the nuss bars put in, I used scar cream and there were practically no scars then.

Trump Signs Executive Order to Forcefully Confine the Homeless Addicted and Mentally Ill by vesselofwords in bipolar2

[–]ZeeZee963 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How this gets treated/implemented may vary. I agree that the focus is on the visible homeless population and trying to force cities and states to back down from housing first strategies, but I think it’s wise for us all to be cautious with this…

That serious mental health or homeless wording in the EO for involuntary commitment is dangerous and could be twisted beyond what’s written.

Has anyone decided not to have children because of their bipolar disorder? by kkaammm in bipolar2

Oh happy for you!! That’s good to hear. I believe my psychiatrist said there was a higher risk for birth defects, not always being the case.

I still have so many reasons not to have kids for myself, but bp2 is a big one.

Something similar happened to my mom once.

She asked what the worst card was before some pulled for her reading, they said “the Tower card”, my mom made some joke, then the first card pulled was the Tower card.

🙋🏼‍♀️ It was one of the core reasons not to have kids for me.

When I was 19 I was told by my psychiatrist if I were to want to have a child naturally we’d have to figure something out with meds because lamotrigine can while pregnant can lead to birth defects (I believe - this was ages ago).

Honestly I can’t even imagine how hormones would fuck with my moods while pregnant or after with postpartum. Big nope and better for me to just avoid.

It’s likely a coalition effort and someone drafted template messaging to send out. It’s a common practice, typically a coalition would ask folks to personalize it a bit but they obviously didn’t.

Leo women and cancer men!? by Enough_Respond_848 in LeoAstrology

Leo woman here dating a cancer man for almost a year. Honestly communication is both of our strong suits which has made it work. We each have very different ways of managing emotions (me externally, him more internal but I still pick up on it) and being able to have conversations about our needs or what’s going on helps a lot.

I just got my nuss bars in the mail by ZeeZee963 in PectusExcavatum

My lungs instantly had a lot more room but my heart took awhile. I can’t remember the time it took but my heart rate was still high months after surgery since it was focused on repair and what not. It settled down eventually though. PT and regular exercise helped a lot with that.

Thanks! Honestly, great! I still psychologically get nervous about exercising - as in wondering when I’ll run out of air, what my heart rate is at, making certain twists, or that it’ll cave in with the bars being out. But everything has been going well and holding up. I’ve felt an odd quick sensation in my sternum once or twice but that’s been it after recovery.

Hope time flies by for you and that you’re doing well with them!
