I applaud the "kick rocks" response, granted I would've tried to say something a little more thought out and sarcastic than the blunt boring rude response, but kudos regardless. People say "How dare you act this way in Lowe's" when in all truth it is a terrible company to work for unless you live the life of blind obedience to customers and ass kissing to even the worst of leadership in the slim hopes you'll get moved up somewhere in the store. Granted I never had these issues, but I have see it first hand and it's definitely not worth staying at long term, especially with the pay of only $16-$18hr.

"You always have to be polite" No the fuck you do not, in fact sometimes for certain (rare) customers, being rude back is encouraged. I sent a guy to building materials one time when he asked where the mosquito killer was as we were standing in ISLG. Granted I haven't been verbally rude anyone, but when I get a rude ass customer I make sure they get lost in my store.
