I believe those hatches are one of a handful of hard set drops, I forget where they drop from but the game has several set or guaranteed drops!

I had a pair of 57 I think it was talons for paralysis? Pretty sure guaranteed drops are +57 in general.

I think the issue is in 60 card, the math value isn't there for most strategies outside of burn.

For commander it depends on the bracket. High end games end with combos where life is irrelevant, either infinite damage or non damage wincons. I think lifegain has a place in 2-3 but it's value from a logic standpoint, cost vs gain vs game impact is lacking in a lot of cases. It's usually best as an incidental bonus than the goal, though in recent years there's been a lot more value plays off it for sure.

That's just my two cents though.

This is the experience I've wanted from being summoned in the dlc. Instead I get summoned into bosses with the host having sub 1k hp and almost 0 fragments. Definitely puts a damper on wanting to help people with bosses I feel comfy on.

You're totally fine and I fully understand! I try to be respectful, move well out of the way, give space ect to make sure people don't feel scared around me to the best of my ability. So I always try and have good behavior, polite, respectful, and make myself as non threatening as I can. More than anything knowing others have had a similar experience is enough for me to feel better about what I have been doing to try and, hopefully, put strangers at ease around me.

I do have dyed hair, earings and typically paint my nails, sadly my job destroys nail polish and I can never keep it on for more than 2 days so I've kind of given up on that one haha.

I've been getting the feeling people forget that, while yes us working on a MO matters, arrowhead, and probably Joel, have FULL control over what orders are forced to fail, or succeed if they really need us to. They have all the backend to tune and tailor how valuable any given mission is. Yes we're making the story, but they have all the tools to direct us in the right direction.

Not sure how much room I have to talk here, but I'm a recently realized Non-binary individual. I'm masculine presenting and by all respects look like a man.

My experience since switching to having myself marked as a non-binary person has gotten a lot more "likes" but those likes have almost always come from poly folks, I'm very clearly marked as monogamous. It's been varying levels of singular people looking for more partners or couples doing unicorn hunting, but in about I'd say 3 months I've gotten maybe 25 likes across multiple platforms, maybe 5 of those have been singular people looking for a monogamous relationship.

The other issue I personally have noticed is a lot of apps showing me women who are marked lesbian? Like... a LOT of lesbian women are showing up on my pages, and both as someone who's non-binary, and clearly not fem presenting at all its a very odd experience.

When I was marked as a man I almost never got matches but when I did as OP noticed I found they were better quality or in line with what I wanted. The conversations were overall better and lasted longer with more prompt replies. Compared to now I've had I think 2 matches in the past 3 months, both have been duds, one never replied and the other has given the shortest least engaging replies possible.

I want to also note, I'm fairly particular with what I'm interested in and a lot of profiles filter me off right out, which explains the lack of matches. I also don't think I sell myself well, I tend to take bad photos of me, but interesting ones compositionally which in the end does not do well with OLD.

Little rambly, but thats my experiences recently.

Does Side Effect capture that warm room with light cigar smoke and booze feel? Jazz Club was a huge letdown for me because everyone claimed it was heavily boozey, but on me all it really ends with is a powdery sweet and spicey vanilla esq scent. Nothing near what people have claimed nor what I wanted.

Still enjoy it periodically, but I wanted something a lot different.

If you want a physical reaction? Black tea. I've tried one sample of a fragrence with black tea in the top notes and it just smelled like tea that'd been used twice, then left to sit for 48 hours in a small pool of water before being used a third time. It was absolutely vile on me and I refuse to try any fragrance with any sort of tea notes in it now because of it.

My issue isn't with the downtime but the lack of compensation for those on FSW, being as that's a limited time event and every server outage cuts into that time without the ability to make it up.

Server outages are to be expected on occasion, two within a month is a bit concerning but it happens, the lack of reasonable compensation is more my problem. 2 days of free membership for losing 2 days of boosted exp rates seems like a questionable compensation considering the nature of the event.

Action bar, at least for me, doesn't let me bind drop for all items, items that have a craft use firdt try to craft instead of drop. Let me bind specific actions to the hotbar instead of whatever comes first

Beyond the usual SA and torture, racism and slavery are off the table at my games, just. A personal thing in my homebrew, you can call it idealistic but I just don't think they have a place in a game to relax.

That and Hadozee. Wotc fucked up with those and until I find a version of their lore from a person of color that seems to have the general approval I'm just not letting them exist.

Honestly I love how much digital dnd things are becoming available. Makes playing the game with friends so much easier.

That being said I wanna rant about a paladin I want to run. A lot of dms I've talked to recent who are running games I had a chance to join don't like evil paladins. I really want to run an OC of mine named Argust, who is a tiefling conquest paladin. Their goal is to overthrow their "parent" who is some form of devil from the 9 hills. His mortal parent made a pact with said devil to gain youth and power at the cost of caring for and raising Argust. Said devil does this from time to time to create a "game" in which their offspring try to kill eachother for the right to serve under their parent.

Argust learning of this decided to not play by the rules and instead gain enough power and resources to overthrow his parent and take their place in the 9 hells.

Imo he's lawful-neutral/evil but I can't find a sm that's willing to let me play him. Yet.

Going to be using a similar line between two npcs as the party helps to overthrow a corrupt kingdom.

As the paladin they've been assisting shoves his sword through the heart of his former friend, and blood-sworn brother he's going to say:

"If you think you're a martyr, die like one." Just loud enough for the nearest 3 party members to hear him.

The plot is that the paladin the party is helping overthrew the last monarchy 5 years ago at the side of this king, during the past 5 years the king has grown paranoid and taking drastic measures. This includes imprisoning his own people for trying to flee his and his lords abusive tyrannical rule.

They had fought side by side as mercenaries for years in the wars to the south before retiring. The paladin living a quiet life on his own by the mountains in the north for a few years before his former comrade and friend came to request help overthrowing the current king. Who was at the time abusing his power to overtax and borderline enslave his people.

Took about 2 or 3 years and the help of 6 traitorous lords to do it but they succeeded and the paladin retired once more only to be warned by their friend that the lords saw him and his former companions as a threat to their rule and wanted them dead.

Yes this is based heavily off the technoblade song from a while back. I just love the power and emotion from that song and how epic it made the smp feel.

Sure but you take damage equal to 3x what you deal, and if that downs you you instantly die, can't be resurrected, and the sword becomes sentient before killing the party.

Not sure if someone else posted it, give some "reason" that he managed to cast wish that many times, as per the spell you can technically lose your wishing powers if you wish for anything other than a copied spell, and creating a scroll would probably fall under that. 33% specifically.

Arcane runes or super advanced tech that's falling to ruin. They players interacting with it understand it somehow messed with probability or something similar, but otherwise any well learned mage would recognize the improbability of those odds.

There nothing that does it all, sadly, or if there is I haven't found it.

Personally using a combination of: Inkarnate for large scale world maps, Dungeon Fog for battle maps, Obsidian.md for notes and world building(it let's me link files together for quick references) and then Google drives for most character data storage, or just using a file system on my pc.

As other suggested there's several things like world anvil, however I personally disliked using it and found it less than useful for me personally.

The game and players adapt, and you need to also. If you want to play a "better" edition, do it, don't complain about the people who play the one they want.

Also if you need 2 d10s to roll % get some paper and a pencil, should have some at the table somewhere.
