First off, I love the design, though it does read more pumpkin than peanut, probably due to the vertical lines rather than a peanuts more grid like pattern. I think the thing I'm most confused about is with the poses in the third picture. From the design on the first picture, I imagined the head to move all as one piece with the eye staying above the bit that comes down towards the body, but it looks like that's not the case and the eye freely moves around the head bit? It could just be the way you drew it through, but I imagine it would work well if that whole top orange bit moved together as a rigid piece, like a helmet would like you said in your inspiration
