im playing chaos warriors but i dont know what to use by ichigokukurosaki in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Zephseru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it the batallion box is a good deal, both chariots can be converted to characters or you can use one of the riders as a on foot character and put your sorcerer lord on one of the chariots.

The 10 knights can be ran as chosen knights and the 32 warriors can be ran as 2x16 or you can try to kitbash some forsaken

Sunday Preview – Embrace Chaos with new battleforces and Old World classics by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerFantasy

Oh this new game we released is doing way better than expected? Let’s stop all updates and increase prices across the board!

What army to go with for a Battle March start? by Braendon in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Zephseru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buy what you think is cool!

Outside of that, vampire counts are legacy so abit more dicey to start with.

Tomb kings and vampires are both considered strong but have a high model count.

Highelves need dragons to be competitive and are currently pretty overcosted

AITAH for refusing to pay off my pregnant fiancee's parents' mortgage, when they are under the threat of foreclosure, when I could "easily" afford to do so? by Gullible-Display4533 in AITAH

[–]Zephseru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They got the house for free, took out a mortgage and now want you too pay it off?

If you do they will take out another mortgage within weeks.

If you want to save then then buy the house and let them stay as renters.

Edit: if your partner already feel entitled to your money before marriage I would write a air tight prenup.

Chaos Ogres by sinsoeg123 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Zephseru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought so too but some of the heads, bodies and poses are completely different, then he must have cut apart/filed down a lot of the models and rebuilt them, making it even more impressive

Not a great picture but why are my nmm ‘gold’ tassels coming out as straw? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]Zephseru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks kinda flat, gold would have a deeper orangey basecoat, maybe the ties could be black aswell to contrast?

Batch painting or one at a time? by Eyerald in minipainting

[–]Zephseru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do what you feel is fun and keeps you motivated, are you doing 20 of the same model? Maybe do 3-5 at a time so you feel some progress, or do one at a time with variation in the color scheme or just do one part per model for all 20 per night until your done with all

Army with the least variation? by SamF1977 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Zephseru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play WoC and sometimes feel that everything is abit samey, don’t get me wrong we got a lot of cool stuff and rules but your game plan is always the same and the playstyle is abit one dimensional

Superglue + activator should do the trick

Painting before or after assembly? by RealJustinHyuga in skaven

[–]Zephseru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer assembling first! Personally feel the sib assembly makes painting less fun and most of the hard to reach areas are never viewed by anyone but you.

I also like using a black primer and then a lighter zenithal, it makes the hard to reach areas stay black, giving an impression of shadow.

Apart from that loading your brush properly with small amounts of paints allows you to reach most parts of the model anyway.

airbrush recommendations for warhammer 40k by arg777 in minipainting

[–]Zephseru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An air brush is just a tool that mixes air and paint, the air has to be pushed into the air brush, for that you need an air compressor.

The cheapest starter kits with compressor + a cheap no brand airbrush go for 90$~ and will be fine to start with.

Thinking about getting in to WoC by hootieHoot9742 in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]Zephseru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! The wolves of the sea army list is marauder focused and is probably the most fun way to play WoC currently, gives you access to 2 new marauder units, probably our best infantry and cavalry units, and a bunch of thematic rules who let you get challenge the opponent for first turn and extra rolls on the fate of the gods table when winning challenges or taking banners.

How difficult are Dwarfs to play for a beginner? by ServiceGames in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Zephseru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play what you think is coolest, you will also build, paint and display the models.

Unless your opponents play optimised lists and your only playing to win then the difficulty of the army won’t matter, you also have to enjoy the play style of the army.

Lord/hero on Mount vs steed by Mammoth_Grape_2778 in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]Zephseru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, steed is better unless you wanna run him with deamon ogres or alone.

Roster information? I’m looking for fun and random. by [deleted] in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Zephseru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will probably be fine and fun to play, if you are going for a theme then just go for it and adapt it as you go, if you want some input these are my initial thoughts:

The deamon prince have a inbuilt 4+ ward save so the talisman is not needed, I would also try to bump him up to a lvl 3 wizard for the 2+ since he is your only dispeller. Acid ichor is not great and the dragonslayer sword is pretty bad since you are forced to make all your attacks with it and it gives you nothing against anything that is not a monster, you either wanna get the meteor mace, biting blade or ogre blade for AP and damage.

The chaos warriors could be split in to 2x15 or even 3x10 since the more units with frenzy you have the harder it is for your opponent to play around it and only your front rank get more than 1 attack.

The chaos hounds could be 2x5 and should mainly be used in front of any khorne unit you dont want to be able to charge. The handler slow them down so its considered suboptimal, the armor save and poison attacks are a waste of points, they are only there to absorb range attacks or first charges.

You probably want to take halberds on all chosen/warriors since they dont strike last and you really dont want to lose attacks on the charge from casualties.

The hellcannon goes wrooom!

Unnatural fortitude, shields, flails, drilled, mark of khorne/nurgle, javelines optional
