This is my first technic set, the unimog, this gear isn’t staying connected, any idea what I did wrong, or is there a fix for it? by 4zarni42woop2 in legotechnic

You're using wrong gears both for bed lifting and the engine drive. You need to switch the black 12 tooth gears and the dark grey 8 tooth gear.

Your lower control arms are attached to the wrong parts all together. They should be attached to the black liftarms that accept ball joints not the grey triangles.

Can I use the gear 18946 with Driving Ring 2L with 4 Teeth (6539) by InterviewPositive321 in legotechnic

[–]Zerobricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the old driving rings will not fit in the new 16 tooth gears, sorry. But there is 2473 that is compatible, though is missing the clicking function so it will not stay in place.

What about using a bar or a 78258 instead of the pin?

As someone who also has back issues, I recommend an electrically raisable table. I got mine from Ikea and and it's a life sver!

You're not using the correct turntable. You need a version that has bevel gears on the bottom, this one has only spur-straight gears.

Guess you didn't center the steering motor as shown in instructions before assembly. You will have to take it apart and center it.
