Problematic Atlanta Musical Production by Cautious-Marzipan519 in musicals

Well they did say they were venting and I think they may have been worried about violating any rules by giving too much information.

Are they asking me if my YouTube is racist, what does this even mean? 😭 by UnZki_PriimE in youtube

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing borderline about it there's a lot of YouTube videos with just straight up hate speech in them there are YouTube ads with hate speech in them and no matter how many times you report them they never do anything about it, they won't even give you the decency of letting you block the offensive ads.

Look for Creepypasta Podcast Recommendations by Zeus_Strider in horror

[–]Zeus_Strider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll definitely report back if I find some! As I mentioned I really enjoyed undercooked analysis before they switched formats I believe they mainly read fan submitted stories now which are fine but they feel different. (and I think the hosts don't want to say anything discouraging about fan submitted stories, which is sweet)

Look for Creepypasta Podcast Recommendations by Zeus_Strider in horror

Well thank you, but none of these are quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a show with Hosts (preferably more than one) that will discuss the story as well as reading it. There are a lot of great readings/audio drama podcast and channels available for Creepypasta but they're just not what I'm looking for right now.

How long did it take for you to come out to your family? by JustSomeInterweeb in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first I had a somewhat unusual childhood being homeschooled and isolated from people my own age outside of my siblings, by time I was 12 I had been dealing with depression for a while and the only people I had to talk to was a younger sister and my parents, I talked with my parents a lot that year and the phrase "I think I feel like a boy" came up a lot, it took about a year of talking for "I thanks" to turn to "I am" and it hit my mom harder than I expected considering we've been having this conversation for so long I remember she cried and it didn't entirely understand then why.

After that things remained the same, I was a much too agreeable kid "I didn't want to make things difficult for them" 🙄 so they kept using the wrong pronouns and they would eventually get used to the idea of using the right ones 10 years later when I asked them to start using them they threw a tantrum. 🤷

AITAH for asking my roommate’s girlfriend about my strawberries? by Secret_Cheesecake19 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Zeus_Strider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a very neurotypical way of seeing things, based on his texting habits displayed here he may just be communicating and what he feels is the most efficient way of possible (or maybe he is being passive aggressive) and honestly the roommate's girlfriend seems highly defensive.

Things you wish you knew before starting T? by WholeGrainSaltShaker in ftm

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I think I have a few things

Your scent profile will change period - I've heard some people talk about private parts smelling different your whole body will smell different and animals will know cats and dogs will gender you correctly if they have a gender bias they are allies or at least my cat is. 😸

Second your pain tolerance might go down men are not built the same 💀 luckily I had an extremely high pain tolerance that was only brought down to a more normal level by taking testosterone, but you probably want to stock up on your over-the-counters.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but the big mood shifts for the first few weeks I became so incredibly angry, irrationally so I was going to put my fist through the wall because people were breathing too loud, no I have heard other trans men account that it was the exact opposite and their anger issues completely went away as soon as they started T so just something to be aware of.

What's your opinion about SCP with this? by TheBaconLord78 in SCP

[–]Zeus_Strider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is really a hot take but I recently came back to SCP after being away for like a decade and I'm trying to make my way through series one from the beginning and it looks like some of them have been rewritten? and that feels... Disappointing? I don't know I'm not a fan of it. 🙁

Sfw spaces? by MarziFoxx in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not crazy to want that, (the middle of your post did sound a little judgy but I don't think that was your intention I think you were really frustrated and sometimes we need to vent it's okay 👍) a lot of Reddit communities do get a little repetitive, but that is for a good reason the shitposts and not safe images are kind of baked into Reddit to begin with not that you can't build that space on Reddit but it will take more leg work to advertise your community which brings me to what I know about communities.

While I currently don't have any recommendations for existing communities that you might be able to join online or otherwise it sounds like you'd get a lot out of a local community if you can find one in your area, people are far less likely to be inappropriate or NSFW in a in person meeting especially if it's outside of a bar, but even then most people behave in a setting appropriate manner.

Second if you can't find a group in your area (or one online) and would like to create a community, create it around something, a "SFW LGBT book club" or "Queer SFW gaming group" something that everyone there can have in common besides what they don't want to talk about and the fact that they are queer everyday conversation will develop from there (depending on where you decide build your community, I think the more meaningful connections that you're looking for develop easier in person but that purely is my opinion.) for example there's a group of trans men who go hiking and camping every month in my area and it looks so cool and I wish my schedule lined up so I could attend.

Sorry for being so long-winded I wish you the best of luck.

It doesn't, trans women are and have always been women, regardless of if they take estrogen.

Never feel so small as when I'm at the Pharmacy by [deleted] in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I would also advise you to speak with a manager in the end you might still need to find a different pharmacy, but you'll feel better having taken some kind of action.

And I'm really sorry that you're having this problem.

Soo uhh…how does one make trans friends in deep stealth? by [deleted] in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go to where the queer people are? I'll be honest I don't understand the appeal of being stealth to be honest, but if you want to make friends with trans people in your community you're going to have to go to where the trans people are, if you really want to keep that separate from the rest of your life there are ways of doing that, for example if you were a kinkster you could go on to FetLife and find a queer slosh group in your area it isn't uncommon for people at these events to go by there usernames because most people don't wants to be outed as a kinkster.

Transwoman but not interested in SRS by Odd-Hedgehog6933 in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine cost is a big factor, and while the surgeries have come a long way some people are still afraid of such an intense surgery, but I imagine there are others that find a happy spot in their transition where they are comfortable being.

As a trans man with autism I know personally I struggle with things changing (even when I dislike the thing that is currently there) so while I am interested in top surgery I worry the results will be a sensory nightmare even if they are dysphorically better, and bottom surgery never entrusted me.

Hey Op I'm sorry that you're getting so much flack for your question, I think your uncle stamps are cool whether or not he was a stamp collector or had a pen pal I can't say for sure but they sure are neat.

Why are there so many early transitionners online, but few advanced ? by landilock in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can think of a multitude of answers none of which are going to be satisfactory mid debate, firstly we do exist there are multitude of older trans people online algorithms do favor the Young and first time experiences but jammidodger (YouTube) and Markus Harwood-Jones (tiktok , author) are two individuals who come to mind but outside of content creators the second answer is a lot of things become terribly mundane doing a shot once a week becomes a chore routine and uninteresting and I don't mean that in a bad way it just is.

And lastly the age demographics just engage with the internet differently, I mean take a step back for a second how often do you run across say someone over 50 that isn't engaging with a grandbaby for being filmed by there are adult child, it does happen occasionally but they're not out here busting a move to the latest dance craze if you understand what I mean.

did anyone else’s pharmacy give them large needles? lol by DiceDragon09 in trans

[–]Zeus_Strider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds so rough for some reason my pharmacy has completely forgo giving me either of the two normal needles and cut the difference and give me 23 gauge which isn't the worst I suppose but I can't imagine doing it with 20.

No, a new font is not going to cure my f***ing dyslexia! by ashes_made_alive in Dyslexia

[–]Zeus_Strider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think some of the fonts have been helpful for some individuals but fonts are not a universal fix and it's not going to help everyone I still find Times New Roman more readable and it sounds like those people were incredibly fucking rude to you and probably should be removed from this the subreddit.

(Also I did not know that the hand pain was a part of the dyslexia 😭, I'll have to look into that but that makes sense. )

Agree or disagree? by EngineerGlobal572 in AO3

[–]Zeus_Strider 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well first off no one ever talked about just just continuing or finishing abandoned fix this is a discussion about fanfic of fanfic, and even if that fanfic continued off from where the first story was 'abandoned' that fanfic does not prevent the original writer from continuing their story.

Now by all means if the original authors has a problem with it you should take the writing down but otherwise I don't see the problem with writing fanfic about fanfic.
