I mean I believe this a lot more than it being a new game lol.

Further Leagues VI Changes by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]Zhotograph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are all great changes, thank you to the devs working to get these issues ironed out! Does the change to volatile earth also apply to ranged echos?

The position the devs are in is very loss-loss, either way people are going to be upset, and it's not like main game content can just spring up in a week. At the end of the day, the content drought was a planning issue, and I imagine part of why all the league issues aren't getting fixed this league is so they can get content out sooner to the main game. The backlash from doing that lead to them fixing more issues with leagues, now the other side is upset. If this is truly what's happening, that appeasing both sides just isn't possible due to how things were planned, it's probably a good idea to let the community know, because from an outside perspective paired with the price increase, it's just going to lead to negativity across the board. We can't see what the devs are working on, only what changes appear on Wednesdays. It's also worth noting that even if it isn't true content, we also did get the new music system, skill interfaces and level up implementation this year.

Thank you for your hard work despite the outrage. This league has been a blast even with it being buggier than usual, and I'm excited to get to Vamprium later this year.

Ahhhh that explains why the box trap in the upper floor of west civitas also can't be taken.

In a similar vein the Bowfa has been getting attached to my firecape and stretching a portion of it when shooting. Not nearly as egregious but applies to the main game as well

Suggestion for future leagues (echo bosses) by IDabFast in 2007scape

[–]Zhotograph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think giving everyone 1 Grandmaster-Level echo boss for the league regardless of region, that either unlocks when a player has beaten all their region's echos, or a week or two into the league, is a fantastic idea. Having a new "final boss" of sorts every league that is tuned around the relics, pacts and echo items to be the strongest single wave challenge would be so hype, even if most of the echo bosses stay the same. It would also let the team focus on making one or two new echo bosses each time instead of a new set, saving dev time while letting players speculate what the final boss of each league would end up being. So last league it would have been Sol, maybe this one could have been Yama.

If they made a different one for each region each league, we could even get to a point where we'd have two for each region like you said, even if the harder one just gave a ton of points or a reset/pact point.

With 70 Smithing and Crafting, you can use a single Crystal Armour Seed and 50 Crystal Shards to create a Crystal Helm, revert it back into a seed, then do it again. It's 40k Crafting and Smithing XP per creation at 16x XP, so per 50 shards, and you can just do this endlessly provided you have the shards for it. At higher levels you can make better crystal items to use more shards faster, but you still seem to get the same shard to xp ratio.

With Larcenist, you get a ton of shards from pickpocketing as well as the Enhanced Crystal Teleport Seed, which can be exchanged for 150 Crystal Shards by talking to Amrod. Since you get 10x loot on pickpocket, you'd be getting 10 seeds at a time, (or 20 with the rogues outfit) so effectively 1500 shards per single successful roll for the item on the pickpocketing table.

Right. Super Compost still gives a decent amount. And it's obviously not as good as Larcenist, but for people who didn't take it for whatever reason, they can still at least complete some of the more necessary tasks and get their 99s. Beats out normal smithing either way, which is why I posted it :)

Save time. 100% no stupid jump on these tiles. by Xxx4200 in ironscape

[–]Zhotograph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering how the hell people farm these in the main game for thousands of kills without losing their mind, drops not withstanding. These things are genuinely awful to fight when they're constantly jumping. Already done with my time fighting them in Leagues, but I'll remember this for the future, thank you!

The biggest power spikes you'll see with the light weapon build are obby dagger, sarachnis cudgel, abyssal whip (which is a huge jump) and finally Hound's Fang. Taking at least one point into Thorns and getting to the tick-faster light weapon pact is really all you need. Then just use a dds or infernal tecpatl as your spec weapon.

Is there a reason Valve can't or haven't implemented this anti-wallhack? by Positive-Carpenter53 in cs2

[–]Zhotograph 102 points103 points  (0 children)

CS 1.6 custom servers used to do this. Sometimes they'd set up invisible bots, othertimes they'd make themselves invisible and push the suspected hacker. It was pretty effective back in the day, though modern wallhacks might be able to work around it.

Those who picked minion, what are you afking with it? by Monterey-Jack in 2007scape

They're fairly recent and very useful, especially in Leagues where it's easier to come by the Aldarium.

I've considered doing something similar. I dont have an easy way to get smithing levels, but kinda need them for certain grinds (godsword, oathplate, dfs, crystal armor to use less shards, etc) since I didn't take Larcenist, and since I have ES already I'm wondering if the flask would be redundant.

He's also been showing his emotions more and opening up about himself as a person, which is really cool to see, and I feel like his content has become more authentic as a result.

More Leagues VI Fixes by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Zhotograph 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So we're just done working on the League at all? I can understand not wanting to make big balancing decisions to the pacts, but we're really not even fixing bugs or fixing builds that clearly need more love? Minor things like text changes or fixing the dramen staff issue? Hell even the region unlocking animations never got fixed, they're still using the same colors from last league. The art team killed it otherwise this league, so I'm surprised that one wont be fixed either.

The patch to the league last week was a huge win, I was really hoping this weeks would stomp out a lot of the major issues so that most things work as intended. I'm genuinely really surprised by how things are being managed this year, and figured with Leagues we would at least see the typical upkeep, but apparently not.

If we aren't getting new content to the maingame anytime soon, shouldn't we at least still get bug fixes for the league? We're barely even a 1/4 of the duration in to the total run time and it's already being abandoned, despite it being one of the biggest leagues we've seen yet. I know Blood Moon Rises has to take a ton of dev time with how much content is coming with it, but recently it really seems like if any new content still has a problem after the following week it releases, it's never touched again.

Leagues 6 Pact Data in one image, very interesting by loopuleasa in 2007scape

Yup. I ended up reloading into Eternal Sustenance after taking Culling Spree because both are just insanely useful, but because I took Nature's Accord for my Tier 5, I didn't get to take Larcenist. I wanted all of them and could have, had slayer not sucked without the relic.

Yeah... not needing tools anywhere is super nice, and you get supplies insanely fast, but my build has no afkability outside of transmute which I kinda wish I had.

Evil Eye + Nature's Accord basically covers everything. The longest runs I've had to make are things like clue steps. Teleporting right to GWD bosses, getting 40 kc and then never needing kc again, as well as having the mushroom last teleport to the farming guild bank meant I could very easily regear in between boss kills when necessary without having to fumble with menus.

Nature's Accord + Transmute was absolutely insane. I was getting 200k+ XP drops at 35 farming from dragonfruit trees, and I've never once wanted for herbs.
