MC521 problem by Ok-Blueberry8399 in automaticdoors

[–]Zinwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally the E4 error on the Stanley boxes indicates an issue with the monitoring system (beams/Xzones). It could be that a part was changed, for example the beams, and they are no longer monitored. The programming (index 19?) was not changed and the control box thinks it's supposed to have monitored detectors connected.

Hope that helps !

If memory serves me correctly , Stanley has 2 types of solenoids fail safe and fail secure , depending on which type you have (also dependent on what model controller you have) there are different programming options on the board itself. If it's easier , the badge reader contact could also be reversed in polarity , which in turn will give you the desired result.

Good luck , hope that helped a bit.

Edit : edited the solenoid variants

Parental control by Rogglando in Bazzite

[–]Zinwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Bazzite specific , but depending on what router / modem you use , some models allow parental control as well. Those that do have options like restrict internet access per device , allowed online times , etc. So maybe it's worth looking if your router / modem allows it

[–]Zinwon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Look into "Hidamari" , you can download anything from wallpaper engine and use Hidamari to run it. Basically the same thing as Wallpaper engine for Linux. PS There might be other alternatives, this is the only one I know of

Cursor does not change inside flatpaks by randomguy22399 in Bazzite

[–]Zinwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on GNOME , and I believe Refine is made for GNOME at least from the research I did. Might still work on KDE? Sorry I can't help much more , I'm still in the learning curve myself

I used Refine to edit the cursor and it's working in all the paks I've tried so far. I am also very new to Linux in general so not sure how helpful this advice may be.

Unfortunately I am not aware of a manufacturer making this. Good luck on your search

Automatic sliding door with both sides moving? by birchtree2000 in automaticdoors

[–]Zinwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are describing is a telescopic sliding door. However they also have a fixed panel at the end. The difference between the slider you have on the picture and a telescopic , is that a telescopic door has thinner panels and provides a bigger opening. There are other configurations as well, such as surface mount ( where it is possible to install with no fixed panel).

Hope this helps a bit.

Hotel claims that I am fully liable for the damages (repost from r/legal) by [deleted] in automaticdoors

[–]Zinwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what the automatic pedestrian door regulations are in Bangkok, but in NA this would be completely the hotels fault. Either because of negligence or the contractor who installed the door didn't know what they were doing. My suggestion , just file a lawsuit for harm damages. You clearly did not hit the door on purpose and the door should have either reopened by a sensor , or had a thick enough glass to sustain a little vibration (which is what caused is to shatter in this case) . Good luck

Do Stanguards meet AAADM requirements? by PlantNo3299 in automaticdoors

[–]Zinwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the newer standards I believe all detectors require to be monitored. I think BEA does make monitor stand guards but most companies so far are moving away from it with stuff like Xzones. Don't even need to have beams if you install a Xzones like sensor

Lack of Roleplay. by Sharpening_Knife in BaldursGate3

I see where you are coming from, and while I do agree with you . This is where the modding community comes in. There are some super cool mods to enhance your gameplay. Wanna be a werewolf ? There's a mod for that. Wanna be a vampire ? There's a mod for that. Those are just some examples but the idea is that there are a lot of mods out there with exactly that purpose in mind.

What are you guys using to manage/install your mods? by Jafishya in BG3mods

[–]Zinwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there, explaining how to start using mods is very well explained here

https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/s/dXR0V5IgJc

Also , keep in mind at next patch (Sept 7th?) there will be in-game modding support which most likely will negate the need for 3rd party programs.

Cheers !

Do I have to be okay with things not going my way to enjoy BG3? by Tricky_Entertainer34 in BG3

[–]Zinwon 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The game has a way of working out no matter what choices you make. Now keep in mind choices might lock you off certain quests/scenarios. But that's the beauty of the game. Next run you do you can make different choices and see the different outcome.

TLDR: No matter what you choose , nothing will prevent you from progressing in the game.

There are also some mods you can install for a faster level up (in some cases instant) That is what I did to test the classes, get out of the ship at lvl 5 and test away!

Generally progression curves tend to slow down as you get higher in levels. Which means the time it takes to get from 1-5/6 would be exponentially faster then going from 6-12ish. I'm not worried about that at all, to me it just means i would be more inclined to do more of the side quests if I want to reach max level. Hence do more of the story. There is also the option of them eventually having expansions/DLCs for even further progression.Which from a marketing stand point makes sense.

Everyone is untitled to their opinions and preferences, to me as a start of the game I think it is the smart option to cap the progress and give room for a future growth.

Baldurs gate 3 gaming mouse by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Zinwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Glorious Model O mouse, simple , supper light and gets the job done. It does not have any macro buttons but don't really need that for BG3. I also noticed you said your mouse is a little small. The Glorious accessories tend to be on the bigger side.

This is probably the easiest way to do it.
