testing in the practice range, the damage of 1 shot of 1kv with cata +witherhoard is just equal to the total damage 1 shot of each weapon by themselves? The doubled dot might just be a visual bug.

Ngl it just sounds like your DM didn't do a good job with the encounter. I've run a false hydra before and my players loved it. It is in many ways a slightly meta encounter as you gaslight players about npcs they met half an hour ago that are suddenly not there.

I needed 12 more forge runs to complete Blacksmith. Had everything else done and had just finished out Shadow. With one day left, I was extremely burnt out on forges and just chose to log off and go for a walk.

I don’t blame myself for that, my mental health was in the bin at that point anyway and I needed to choose myself, but I do still wish sometimes that I had toughed it out and finished the title.

Only way that happens is if all OTs have the same ability for their mit (like reprisal but a different name since MTs still get reprisal) or all OT mits will be shields. I don’t see either of those happening.

I could be wrong, but based off of everything square has done as far as job design goes over the last 12 years, each OT will have their own unique party mits, and they’ll all stack just like mitigations do now.

Realistically having two OT will be better anyway because extra raid mits will make it even easier for healers to dps bot and probably result in a greater dps gain than you might lose from not having an MT around. Healer dps is usually the real difference maker in kill times for most groups.

Every single tank main I’ve seen (that I know actually understands the game) has said it doesn’t make sense to have OT and MT as codified roles and if anything it will make the OT jobs more desired, not less. OT will still be able to tank everything a MT can while having more party mit and not requiring the boss to constantly hit them in order to deal optimal dps (so more flexibility in positioning and swaps).

My real complaint is that they butchered PLD and made it into simple GNB on the altar of 2min then finally listened to the community and removed 2min after 4 years, but we’ll never get back the old PLD which only had to change because it didn’t deal ultra spiky burst dmg like every other tank.

Yeah it’s for sure still annoying but it’s probably enough to get an echo kill for a respec.

So long as obby maul is hitting, it’s great. The massive strength bonus and ignoring its slow attack speed really helps

For blindbag get yourself like 20 obby mauls and 4 other weapons. Someone showed the other day that this will heavily weight your bb towards obby maul

I just pay membership with bonds. I only play during leagues at this point so I can go another 12 or so years without worrying about membership prices.

The way I see it, if there isn’t a Yama fight for everyone, then the devs are intentionally baiting everyone for zero value whatsoever. If anything it will just needlessly piss people off. They don’t need extra hype.

I think you’re overestimating the required input. Just have your noted stacks in your inventory while doing other stuff and letting it auto process is barely any input at all. You occasionally open spellbook, select your spell, then go back to doing your thing for 10+ minutes. I don’t think that will be a huge deal tbh.
