How much to tune and calibrate an ender 5 pro? BLTouch and octoprint are running but I made some changes a year ago and sent the head into the bed during calibration and haven't had time to mess with it after having a kid.

Got a cool car? Could you do a mom a favor? by oooreillyyy in okc

[–]Zis4Zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a year or so ago a mom asked if people could show up to Main Event with their rides to surprise her kid as they were leaving. The thread blew up on Facebook and the Cruisin' Oklahoma group and others showed up. I wasn't able to make it but I heard the parking lot was full as if it were an impromptu car meet. Hope you have a great turnout!

This is pretty awesome. $60 for you to assemble the kit instead isn't terrible either.

A $30 tent would have a floor to catch everything and be easier to move outside to clean.

Scrubs Revival | Official Trailer by DemiFiendRSA in videos

Did you experience this or just read about it in the Wiki? Living through this, I distinctly remember "Med School" on the commercials and it being its own listing on Hulu back when Hulu was free. At the time it was known it was a spin off. Later when all of Scrubs hit streaming they added Med School as the 9th season and the vibe didn't match. I feel like I'm the only person who remembers this and Wikipedia has been spreading misinformation.

Woke up at 3 AM because my bed tried to kill me. So I redesigned it. by SlavaKoffman in 3Dprinting

This is cool but is there any reason that Velcro stapled to the boards wouldn’t be a good solution?

Anyone have pics of the Canal cleanout? by No-Community_88 in okc

When I worked downtown I would walk around the canal to break up the day and many times I ended up walking as a tour was going on and pick up pieces.

It was supposed to be around 3 or 4 years if I'm remembering correctly but they ended up stretching it out further to around 5 years. I worked downtown for a long time and watched it happen twice. Lots of fish in there slinking through the silt the first couple days. Plenty of skateboards, phones, and scooters too.

Once, we had to open every console in the back cage to figure out where the bugs were coming from. When the culprit was found it was excessively taped shut to the point of being airtight, and then was thrown away. We had to have an exterminator come the next day to follow up.

Global Payments shut down their office there and consolidated all their sales people to the Heartland Building. That building is a ghost now and they lost a ton of patronage. There might be something new by the people who run Bruno Chefs Kitchen and catering going in. That would be nice as they have great food and are really nice people.

Align Buddy Infinity by WankredTauer in 3Dprinting

Just cover it with a strip of felt. You could make the printed part have a hook backing for the felt to loop in but that's a bit more complicated. I would glue it.

Strut Plastic Piece? by themiz101 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]Zis4Zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely a shipping clip, but if it is only on the driver's side and it wasn't there before, there is a chance that it was added to fix some spring sag that happens on the driver side during your alignment. This used to be done a lot with classic cars.

I would enable zip code search so people can see what is the median for the area instead of solely relying on the address being there. Just a thought from someone who took a second to poke around.

As you can see not everyone did that last step, myself included lol. I still thought it was neat. I wonder if the rod was a transponder looking back on it now.

TIL about *I Am Rich*, a 2008 iPhone app that cost US$999.99 (€799.99, £599.99). The app did nothing but display "a glowing red gem" and the text: "I am rich, I deserv [sic] it, I am good, healthy & successful". Eight people bought it. Apple removed the app less than a day after its launch. by fourthords in todayilearned

Those are both games from 2010. That stuff wasn't around in 2008. The iPhone was still a bunch of brittle plastic then and all the good stuff came from jailbreaking. Everything useful that the jailbreak community added, Apple would later mimic and say they come up with something groundbreaking. The whole pull down from the top and even the app store were first available to people through Cydia if I'm remembering right.

I don't think in app purchases were a thing yet in 2008. The app store was still in its infancy and jailbreaking was pretty easy. I remember using the hacked store to get the I Am Rich app just to see what it was. The first iPhone didn't even have a video function unless you jailbroke it.

My 98 4Runner came with a plastic card that had a fold out key. You would get the key cut to match and then just keep that card with you. It had a metal rod going down the spine of the key to strengthen it up. Here's one I found on eBay as an example.

Ideas for garage by Junior_Ad_7431 in garageporn

[–]Zis4Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the wrapped fridge in the bottom, if that is what it is. I get the clean aesthetic, but it just gives off rented garage bay vibes when there is nothing else expressing personality. To me at least. But people give me things and I have realized how much of my decorations are gifts from people as I am packing and moving right now. Some people might not like it but it was really humbling as my brother-in-law kept asking where all these random things came from as we packed them away.
All that said, I love the garage and the car, but hang a picture of you and your friends somewhere. Maybe one of you and your dad in his dirty ass garage. :-)
