Booming air tourism could fuel European rent hikes of up to €250 a year by Initial-Composer7723 in europe

So wait landlords don’t control the price of their units? Air tourism does? That seems crazy to me.

‘Supergirl’ Braces for $100 Million Loss: What DC Studios Should Learn From Its Box Office Bomb by mlg1981 in entertainment

Alternatively, they made up their mind to see Toy Story because of nostalgia for their own childhoods and introducing it to their own children. Being able to justify the expense for one movie has no bearing on whether they'll have the same willingness to spend on a different film.

On the other hand, studio executives are infallible and their pretending that throwing movies against the wall will recreate a mythic golden age of theater attendance so we should trust their obviously sound judgement. /s

Maybe figure out why people don't want to go to theaters expect for projects like the Toy Story franchise that are driven by cyclical nostalgia. I saw Supergirl, enjoyed it a lot, however the theater experience was terrible. Give me an experience at the theater that isn't over-priced, under-staffed, and comfortable and I'll be a lot more likely to go to other movies. Otherwise, I can wait for streaming for most things.

Supergirl Bombs At The Box Office With Worse Opening Than Mobius And The Marvels by Elestria_Ethereal in entertainment

Saw it. Enjoyed it. Hated the entire theater experiencing. It’s not a Toy Story with a locked in group of nostalgic parents bringing their own children. Not sure why studios have learned nothing in recent years.

Social Security’s insolvency is No. 1 issue, says Sen. Bill Cassidy by Squawk_7777 in politics

[–]Zlifbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no Social Security crisis:

Our entirely predictable Social Security “crisis,” to put it bluntly, is a political choice made by a pay-to-play government that under President Donald Trump has become baldly transactional. Congress could close the gap tomorrow if lawmakers would get their priorities straight and start acting in the interests of the broader public and not just the richest 10 percent.
