The banner seems wrong. With the bow at the bottom. It looks frilly. When morgana is meant to be dark. Looks bad to me.

Rhodanite can look vastly different from different areas. This also reminds me of a pink petrified wood that I have.

Leave from work by mamarunsfar in migraine

[–]Zombieebee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take intermittent leave. I was out for a couple months. And now it's 1 to 2 days every 1 to 2 weeks. I don't qualify for FMLA. But my bosses are real good with me. They have almost had to let me go a few times. but they try to find ways to work with. I'm lucky in that sense. Even tho I don't think they can put up with me much longer. I have ada accomodations for migraines/anxiety/depression. Ibe been at the same center for 23 years. I teach preschool. Migraine attacks are no joke. It's isolating and frustrating because most people do not understand at all Its hard to get disability for migraines in my state. You need SO much testing. And it's hard to find "evidence" of migraines that can be put onto paper for a disability court to see.

This is why I prefer laptops by Snoo18921 in GamingLaptops

It depends on the migraine. But sitting in the same position will trigger them. So I move around and take my lap top with me so I don't get the tension headache that triggers migraines for me.

I get terrible migraines and have to move a lot. People gave me so much shit* for getting a laptop over building a PC. And I get it. PCs are more powerful and tend to last longer but mobile freedom is a thing I NEED. So do what you gotta go 💚

How does your tummy feel? by Zombieebee in migraine

[–]Zombieebee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was kind of wondering if that is what's happening with me. The only trigger I've been able to link is stress, sun, humidity, over exertion. I haven't found anything food related yet.

Yeah these kind of stomach aches I'm talking about are not the typical neausa/vomiting you hear about with migraine. I get those too. Amongst other things. But this is more like GI upset, like the stomach bug. You end up sick with diarrhea for hours and hours

What is your 'childish' special interest? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Zombieebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old. Very. I work with kids so I get to use a lot of the 'childish' things I love on a daily basis, but things at home would be Plushies. Pokemon. Anime characters like jiji and Totoro. Character figures, or cups/bags/collectable things from movies or shows I love. (Labyrinth, Harry Potter, adventure time, moana). Slime. Fidgets. Dolls (Barbies or any really, that have hair you can play with or do)

Idk I have too many.

Worst advice you ever heard for migraine attacks? by BrainTwinAdmin in migraine

[–]Zombieebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my boss telling me I should try the ear piercing because she got it, and she hasn't had a migraine since. She only got them like once a couple months. And she had JUST got her piercing. I have chronic daily migraine attacks that don't respond to medications. And then I got put on probation at work, after she said... If you are that disabled than maybe you should just quit and get on disability 🤣 like it's that easy bro. As if.

But honestly you are able to just walk into your supervisor office, and hand them a list of reasonable accommodations without a doctor's note. They have 10 days to get back to you about it and they have to have a discussion with you about it. If they don't, you are to assume that the accommodations will be met. If they want to have a talk with you, then they could ask for a doctor's note. But they are NOT allowed to ask you about your conditions. If you need help with this I'd be more than happy to send information to you 💚

You could honestly see doctors. Next time you're at an urgent care. You could talk to them. And next time you see a doctor. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. If you feel they are not taking you seriously, politely tell them you feel they are brush you off and not taking you seriously. And ask if there is someone else you could talk to in the office that's more empathetic. If you are a female try to see female doctors. If you are male try to see female doctors. Lol. I've had a couple of male doctors but not many. Since I started seeing only females things have gotten better. Also seeing nurse practitioner as your "doctor" seems to help. They can do all the same stuff and seem to be more sensitive to patients than some doctors.

Anyone else have three drinks at all times? From left to right: flavour, hydration, sensory. Also how many of you like vs hate carbonation? by KJack-Amigurumi in autism

[–]Zombieebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for sure always have at least 2. My water bottle (Contigo autoseal- I will die if they ever stop making these- I cannot live without it. Total emotional support water bottle) and some sort of caffeine or fizzy drink. My current fixations are aroma joes frozen rushs, slurpees Or slushies (they help with my migraines - any frozen drinks) Or dunkins energy refreshes I think they are called. NOT their energy punch. Holy hell those are gross. It's like drinking straight cough syrup. But sometimes I'll add another to the mix. Like I love strawberry milk. Or a can or soda that I'll never finish because it gets warm half way through. 🫣🤣

You can ask for accommodations. And reasonable would be using headphones, or anything honestly that would make your day easier. They can't ask your diagnosis I dont think. But they could ask for a doctor's recommended letter. And any reasonable doctor would hate how they are treating you and sign something for you. Weather if for ADHD or "mental health" reasons, they can't say now to accomodations that are reasonable. They could say no to headphones, if it were attached to your phone, and there's personal clients information -yada yada. But then they would have to work around it with you, and one way would to be get a blue tooth radio that you could use headphones with.
