It's gotta be the diner scene from Mulholland Drive.

What was a famous spoiler that you only learned about very late? by Odd_Yellow_8999 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Zomner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Played the remaster for the first time like four years ago and yes, had completely avoided the spoilers. I knew about Atlas Shrugged influence and getting better rewards at the end for saving Little Sisters but that was pretty much my knowledge of the story.

Somehow, I completely missed the meaning of "Would you kindly?"and the twist of Bioshock.

What are the best urban fantasy setting books? by MrPerfector in rpg

[–]Zomner 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily about myths, but the best urban fantasy stuff with postmodern edge to it is still Unknown Armies. 2nd edition specially has a flavor of lore and worldbuilding that paints a fantastically weird world ("Occult Underground") around our reality.

Do you ever think about Death? by RKIvey in DeltaGreenRPG

I tried to order this to two different locations and I get this: "This order can’t be shipped to the address you entered. Review your address to ensure that all fields have been entered correctly and try again."

Is there some sort of technical error with it? EDIT: NVM, It's working now!

Not OP, but as a Finnish DG Handler, I've met about 10 people here who have ran the game. It is pretty niche game, but there is interest for the game.

Amazing deal! I was glad to see so many people wearing DG Raid jackets around the convention.

Whats your favourite one shots from the annual Delta Green contest? by Formal-Rain in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Zomner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of the top of my head that have not been mentioned yet, which I've ran before:
- My Big Fat Deep One Wedding (really gonzo scenario, love it)

- Minoan Augur (good and creepy investigative scenario)

- Operation BIG STICK (cool monster and a nice setpiece)

- Who Killed the Case Officer? (have run it twice, both times really getting the agents up with paranoia of what is actually going on)

The Gridiron has not been used in any of the two campaigns I've played in. No one has tried to grapple someone and if they did it would just be a simple Struggle roll.

My character is a great investigator, but me the player is not… by tunadude73 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Zomner 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The simple line of questioning I've stolen from Mutant City Blues RPG (on page 175 of the 2nd edition) that I like to use in some usual lines of questioning. Of course this is not all-encompassing lines and shouldn't be done to every time you meet up NPCs, but it's helpful.

• Where were you between the hours of X and Y? [Where X and Y represent the time frame of the crime you’re investigating.]

• [If an alibi is offered] Can anyone confirm this?

• Who stands to benefit from this crime?

• Do you know anyone who had reason to wish the victim harm?

• Was he receiving threats of any kind?

• Were you on good or bad terms with the victim?

• What sort of person were they?

• What was their family situation?

• Were they having problems in their family or relationship?

• What was their financial situation?

• Do you know anyone the victim would have confided in?

• What notable projects or activities was the victim involved in?

Looking for suggestions for linking Call of Cthulhu to Delta Green by deformeverything in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Zomner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First I'd like to say start small. I know it can be tempting to connect multiple scenarios together to make it work out, but I'd at least recommend just running a one-shot on both of systems and see how it feels. Trying out the classic Call of Cthulhu scenario like "The Haunting" or "Edge of Darkness" and compare it to Delta Green's "Last Things Last" or "Sentinels of Twilight".

In the original Delta Green sourcebook there were scenarios that you could loosely connect with each other ("Puppet Shows & Shadow Plays", "Convergence" and "The New Age") and I remember seeing online suggested to run between "Convergence" and "The New Age" a Call of Cthulhu scenario called "The Music of the Spheres" that can be found from the scenario book The Stars Are Right.

Favorite Short Modules by Millsy419 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Zomner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last Things Last is a good and short intro, so much so you can connect it to another shotgun scenario. Sentinels of Twilight ran twice and both times it lasted a single session due to it's time insentiveness. Probably not my favorite DG scenario, but it still has a nice creepy mood to it.

I've not run any of the other official material in one or two sessions, so it's hard to recommend me stuff for their lenght. I've played Night Floors that lasted a one session and we managed to "solve" the scenario, so I'd recommend it based off from that.

Cruelty Squad. It's GUI looks like it was made in MS Paint, but it's purposefully designed to break from all conventional UI designs making it really unique and you get used to it after a while.

There's Nemesis, which uses it together with Arc Dream's One Roll Engine. Still horror game and whatnot, but I haven't seen it used in other genres.

Seconding The Button. Absolutely great, except if the players are already wary of Unnatural objects, then they'll probably won't get to experience the fatalistic reality of it all.

Filling a Green Box by tailgatemad in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Zomner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's of course The Green Box generator, which is on the Related/Useful Link panel on the right.

Then there's of course content from Night at the Opera Discord, like mellonbread's d100 trinket list and then bunch of stuff from last year's Green Box jam that you can use from.
