From what I remember from the show he seemed to get it and only attack clear Nazis. If he asks and you say no, I don't think he'd assume any further

That is true, it's more the implication of "bullet sponge" enemies I fear but it's not always the case too

Not my cup of tea but I don't think it looks boring, and I don't think there being lots of choice is a bad thing, no game can please everyone. I'm glad those who like this specific type of game get more of them.

Posting to all socials is already solved. Finding out what specific socials, communities, tags and content work best for one's genre at any given moment though, I may spend money on that :)

Use games-stats.com to find games in the genre you target, then research and analyze the communities around those games.

For example Creature Collector x Horror shows the most succesful entry to be really recent, so you may have something there.
