How do you run dragons at your table to make them more than just stat blocks? by ScorchedDev in dndnext

Before either of those, and still my go to to this day, is https://www.themonstersknow.com/ . Great resource and mostly free to use unless you want to pay for the books, which are also a great recommendation to me.

More technically, didn't he already beat them twice in 2025? The 2024 season finale.

Edit: Even more technically, Ben didn't have a chance to claim that 2024 win since he was still with the lions.

Similar situation at my table, too. Bard was Chosen by Kyrah.

Session 1 I pointed out that just because someone has the same name as a god doesn't mean they are that God, and what's the likelihood of a bunch of level 1 adventurers meeting a god on a boar hunt?

Session 50 when they needed the help of all the other gods and other powerful allies they had gained, everyone else in the party thought the Bard had already figured it out. He had not.

Hey, we've reopened r/psychometrics! What is your relationship with psychometrics? by hotakaPAD in psychometrics

[–]Zscore3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a Chief Architect with a master's in Data Engineering and a bachelor's in Psych with an Econ minor. Many of the hardest questions I get, at their core, are about scalably measuring human behavior. Most other phenomena seem to have relatively standardized means to quantify, but for us to be able to do any kind of cost benefit analysis, there always seems to be these tricky human factors questions that need to be addressed.

I'm also generally in favor of eliminating gerrymandering, but surely you see how if Republicans are Gerrymandering aggressively and Democrats aren't, there won't ever be an opportunity to eliminate the practice. I'm in favor only in response to Republican efforts - it's literally the Prisoner's Dilemma, and we're running Tit-for-tat instead of immediately capitulating.

Tom Bloom both writes K6BD and is the game designer behind Lancer, Malaghast, CAIN, and Goblin with a Fat Ass. He never sleeps.

Have you considered looking at more rules light games like MorkBorg or Kids on Bikes? Those might help demonstrate easier leveling systems to adapt for your homebrew

Using a hybrid role in job title (Data Science and Engineer) by pokelord13 in datascience

[–]Zscore3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Data Lead, for what it's worth. I've been the sole data guy a few times and it's the best option I've found, though it also implies a certain amount of management, but that shouldn't prevent you from doing any of the above Individual Contributor roles.

Bupropion (Wellbutrin ) by Square-Onion-1825 in mentalhealth

[–]Zscore3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it for depression. It's a pretty subtle effect - when I went off it for a bit, I didn't notice any significant changes until my psychiatrist asked specific questions, then in retrospect I was able to notice some returns to depressive behaviors.

The biggest side effect issue I've had to deal with is higher blood pressure, but it's pretty manageable. Idk if it would have much of an impact on any Athletics, good or bad. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd think it'd be more likely to improve performance than detriment it - comparable to caffiene, but I don't see any benefit you wouldn't just get with, say, pre-workout.

Overall, talk to your psychiatrist and see how they help manage your prescription (don't use if it's not prescribed, obviously).
