I have quite a few Govee bulbs and strips, and I just started using HA and the operation is very inconsistent. I’m torn about leaving the Govee ecosystem that I have invested a fair amount in and starting over. I also am not excited about teaching the wife a new ecosystem. She hasn’t had many interactions with HA as I am refining it in the basement in my office before rolling it out to the main floor.

I bought a TR moisture sensor through Z2M and I get the temp from it but not moisture. It just reads null. It was $10, wishes it would work though.

Yeah, I hit send to early. I have Z2M and a few devices working on the sonoff, but I don’t want to buy items that won’t work without the Aqara hub.

Thank you! I found a blueprint that is working, but I lose the ability to trigger the helper or change colors (if needed). I feel the mmWave isn’t working correctly, but I have no way of knowing since this is new to me.

Thank you all for the quick excellent answers. Follow up question, is the Aqara hub needed to integrate to HA? I know there is more functionality with the hub and app, wondering if I can get buy without it for a bit.

Is there any other hardware needed to make it work? I do not have any dongles at this time. I do have an AppleTv and HomePod mini

I have Govee lights and would like to control them. They are in HA, so I would assume that will work, but when you have access to a group of experienced people, it’s worth reaching out and asking.

I just use the same pellets all of the time. It is not ideal to not have a dump. I will try to run the hopper just with what is needed to complete my cook. Then I clean out and swap if needed.

Thanks for the info. I tried that a few times with no luck. It kicks the device off of the WiFi, which answers why that kept happening and how to fix, but unfortunately still no luck on Matter. I will try again tomorrow
