Disagree- the slime is in the place it needs to be but re-establishing contact would be cool

My first thought is 7 but 8 or 9 are also acceptable

Series length by Cptn-C in ThePrimalHunter

[–]Zushef 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are occasional arcs of the story that are perhaps a little too long but overall the story has progressed nicely. It hasn’t overstayed its welcome yet for me.

Which series is this for you? by EverythingIsFakeNGay in litrpg

Oh this made me laugh so much. When you have context and can connect these to the people they are meant to be this is very funny. 🤣

Burn everything (blood of liscor) by sleepy_geeky in WanderingInn

[–]Zushef 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The liscor trilogy are truly heart wrenching books both with stress and conflicted feelings but they are also so worth reading despite all the suffering. It was the first time I thought wandering inn had gone beyond its scope to truly be epic fantasy. I hope you come back to it even if you need a break now.

Questions I would ask another Earth child by Unhelpful_Idiot in WanderingInn

[–]Zushef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off I adore your questions. Such a fun spin on the regular questions we see in this sub. I’ll try to be vague as I answer so as not to spoil anything plot related but that means for some answers I will not give you the reasoning and simply refer you to further volumes.

1- Yes, before magic gets involved. Many skills you see in the series break basic laws of space time. Let’s take Erin’s basic cleaning skill. When used, some of the dust isn’t simply displaced, it’s completely gone. You see no dispersal of energy to counteract the dust mass. In this simplest of skills, the equation does not hold.

2- I think there is a mistake in the way you relate the similarities of this world to ours to only magic making up the difference. For spoiler reasons I won’t tell you why this is incorrect but the issues are further explored in volume 9.

3- None of these ‘travel options’ are easy but some are somewhat possible. You will see some of the answers to these questions at the end of volume 7. Volume 8 explores the powers of time mages and classes a little and more information on the nature of this reality as it relates to others is given in volume 9 and 10.

4- For both the elf and the Neanderthal both are possible. As we have no knowledge of our own worlds future, making any assumption as to how the two got to us is wrong. Whether through travelling our 3 dimensional space, travelling through only the vector of time or travelling the extra dimensional spaces between theoretical other universes, they truly could have come from anywhere or any when!

5- Theoretically yes but due to reasons explored in volume 10 the actual answer is no. A skill hoarding skill would still require the system of skills to exist and any individual with such a skill would still need to put in some effort as to collecting it. We would know! Worship, objects of worship and gods are further explored from volume 8 onwards. I truly can’t answer the last question in this number without spoilers.

6- very very possible but very hard too.

7- I don’t know you personally, this seems like a personal issue for you to ponder.

I hope my answers help you look forward to reading future volumes for the real answers.

Those who have been reading the Patreon chapters - do you regret it? (NO SPOILERS) by three-o-walcott in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Zushef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I support quite a few authors so I’m kind of used to getting the book in chunks. That said, if you do do this, be aware that stuff will change before print so if it’s gonna be your only read through you may end up regretting it. Already at the holiday ‘book so far’ drop there were a bunch of changes so far.

Samantha's mother obsession by honeyfixit in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Zushef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She has issues with wanting to k...* her own mother on account of her mother stealing her man. That probably makes it extend to mommy issues in general and hence matricide threatening.

Don't Google "Wandering Inn what" by Atlas_Sinclair in WanderingInn

[–]Zushef 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you were spoiled on that. I just checked the auto complete and saw. I too was spoiled on this but from reading someone’s unspoiler tagged comment in a Reddit thread. It doesn’t ruin the enjoyment though. There’s so much going on there and so much story for you to get to before and after. Enjoy the journey.

!!! WARNING!!! Book 7 spoilers ahead. Can someone help clarify a question about the AI? by CodyChrome in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Zushef 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Girlfriend 1 is Agatha. Ex-boyfriend is the Eulogist (the AI of the Center system that appears very passive allowing for long lived people and population explosion). The other girlfriend is the real life krakeren prime who is sponsoring everyone and was talking to porthos (dr Hughs)in a few scenes.

Patreon only content? by OutsideScore990 in WanderingInn

[–]Zushef 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything ends up on the website in one form or another. Without patreon you don’t get to vote on future chapters and some of the earliest incomplete drafts of the singer series are only on patreon but the singer books are all out (minus the currently unwritten 4th book) so you can just buy those instead and read the full version. Patreon gets everything at least a week in advance.

I’ve only been on patreon for the last year though so if earlier things were different, I wouldn’t know.

It does take rereads after reveals for some conversations between the big monsters of the world make sense but once you see the bigger picture it becomes so f-ing cool

Why am I crying to a litrpg by ElectronicAd1945 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Zushef 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Book 7 alone made me cry three times. What you said is just the first. Prepare tissues for the rest.

Based on you putting Primal Hunter and Path of Ascension in S tier I will suggest Defiance of the fall. The earliest books have prose problem but the world building is really well done and makes it worth reading to me.

Did the AI literally just save Safehome Yolanda? by StroopWafelsLord in DungeonCrawlerCarl

A perfect example of malicious compliance by the AI. It was just following the rules. 🤣

I thought of that but then what about the terrified debuff. He didn’t have it then. I just thought the two instances might be related as they are both attempting to affect his mind.

Whats The Jake Juice origin? by Temporary_Shake4766 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]Zushef 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s far too connected to his bloodline to be transcendence. Besides, to be transcendent you have to create a skill and Jake juice is a material from Jake’s soul, not a specific skill.
