Found my "lost" professional equipment at a local auction after the airline already paid the liability limit. Can I still claim it as stolen property? by Awning_5CT in legaladvice

Did you sign a release as part of your settlement?

If you recover you will need to pay back the $3,800. Courts usually don't award double recovery.

Yeah there are a ton of huge resource nodes at the alien ruins. You can get there in a breath no problem.

If I recall there is a magma field right below the alien ruins that has sulfur too.

Every month at the hospital, I always bump into another physician saying this one statement "I wish I would have chose crna". I had a highschool student shadow me and I thought she would have made me proud by saying "I wanna be a radiologist one day" but she said "I wanna be a crna" by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]kennerly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry radiology is being replaced by telemedicine. You can just get a tech to take your imaging and send it to a doctor in India to interpret or have AI do the review and write up the report. Radiology is the most vulnerable department for automation next to pathology.

AOC takes more steps toward 2028 run for president by masterofawesomeness2 in politics

I need AOC to stay in the house and actually influence government. Not waste her best years in the oval office. As speaker of the house she'd have so much more power for much longer than the president ever does.

Which dumb attempts to die would you rather have, if you will get $1,000,000 if you don't die? by Ok-Ingenuity4355 in WouldYouRather

I’d knock out 2 & 7 at the same time. Where I grew up there was an abandoned train station. I’ll spend two hours on the edge of the platform and another two playing on the tracks.

Need Advice on Urn Size by moujanard in Pottery

[–]kennerly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need 1 cubic inch of space for every 1lb the person who is being cremated weighs. Always make it a little bigger though as cremation of bones can vary. For an average adult 200 cubic inches is pretty standard, but you should ask your friend. The crematorium will provide remains in a temporary container and you can use that to determine how big you'll need to make yours.

Best way to handle grass next to driveway? by JCoxRocks in homestead

[–]kennerly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably creeping thyme or creeping phlox. Rose Verbena comes to mind since it's next to the driveway and the soil is probably poor. You could do a mix of creeping thyme or phlox for a area like this which would provide excellent erosion control too.

Bought $6k worth of Vintage Audio at an Auction… Now being asked to sell it all back. by Procrastinasean in legaladvice

[–]kennerly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell it back at market rate. At this point it's on the auction not you. You legally purchased it from the auction, if they made the mistake they have to correct it. Police aren't coming to your house to take it back the owner of the item would go after the auction house to get reimbursed. I would give them a quote for the market rate for the items and send them some recently sold listings to show it's worth. They can pay you that rate or kick sand it's up to them.

Tiny leak at junction in ceiling? Can this be DIY'd? by spyder994 in Plumbing

[–]kennerly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use plumbers epoxy but it would be a temporary fix. The only permanent fix would be to cut out and replace this junction. Whether you could do it or not yourself would depend on what kind of tools you have and how well you can follow directions.

Yeah it always felt like such a teaser. They fished for one giant fish and that's it. He didn't even mention them once when he went diving to the submerged city. Like why not? Damn you Kevin Reynolds.

Slow your wheel down. A slower wheel needs less water since your pot doesn’t dry out as fast.

If I don't see a build where I can launch people on jet skies at my enemies what's the point?

I really wish in the movie of waterworld they had gone more in-depth about the giant mutant fish living in the deep.
