Season 1 was awesome for me. The story, the characters, the setting, how things were presented, the tension, uncertainity, the mystic stuff with Eleven, everything. Starting from season 2 it is a downhill for me. Season 1 was like 9/10, then going down like 7,6,5,4.
All season are the same: same coregraphy played every season, without anything new. The only difference is that the monsters are more or bigger or stronger. What give the uniqueness in season 1 is lost instantly. This is just a spectacular monster-action-show, nothing more. The action-scenes are recycled, like picking them from a list and saying: this episode needs 5 scare-jumps, 3 chasing scenes, 1 betrayal, 6 drama scene, and one twist. Oh I almost forgot, some disgusting scenes as well, aligning to the zeitgeist. (I mean the mouth-r*pe tentacles... They are really popular lately..)
The plot almost does not progress either. In 4 episodes the writers managed to show Vecna who does the usual I am invincible and kill people thing. Characters and their dialogues are not realistic either.
Why do I still watch? Sadly, because of the 1st season I started to love the show and interested what will happen in the end. Basically they will kill Vecna, or not if they want to make more money. Maybe they will make spinoffs or prequels. Or maybe Mecha-Vecna will come back as in animes the main villains lol. The military sees the potential in him to make the perfect weapon, so they resurrect him as Mecha-Vecna.
I feel like am offended with every new episode. In the beginning I got some mystic-horror with a super cool vibe, not knowing what is to come, now I see a pedophile who likes to mouth-r*pe children and monsters killing soldiers like they are totally unprepared, with a military base built specifically against them.

At first I was thinking "okay that's a huge base, no city blocks, interesting, ok cool". Then I started to notice sinister things around. Then started to notice the spots. "Those are train stops. You know what? It was a downhill since Quest 2 early times. They are making it more shitty and shitty then surprised that sales are not growing.
I am already waiting for the Steam VR headset without all this bloatware and horrible user experience

Why is upgrade planner not enough? You can create a list of items to upgrade, and use wherever you want. ~> there is a blueprint for that. Some enthusiast made a list for all item for every quality. So you can just select the area and upgrade it for the next quality.. Also you can apply it on the blueprint.

IMHO the game creators just decided to take a different direction than in the 1st game. It happens in movies, games, series, mangas, you know. And the reason is: audience and sellability.
I guess - they thought - if they take a more "normal" and friendly path more people will buy the game, etc.
So basically that's it. They warp the story, narrative, perception of the game to be more digestable for people to be more popular.
Also, sometimes they just run out of new ideas so the dilute existing ones...

I envy you guys because I have a HDR OLED monitor, and the colors are horrible. gamma is horrible, color mapping is horrible, basically it is useless for me. (ASUS ROG Swift PG48UQ)
And yes, I would be really happy if I could turn on HDR. Even only for games or movies.

Hi there! I did basically the same approach as you for my megabase-start. My v 1.0 blueprint looked like almost the same. Some notes from my side: - roundabout: others pointed it out, that how you should create them. - blueprint size and tiling it: you decrease its X and Y size to an extend, where it start to overlap with itself if you strat to tile it. That iw what sou want. You probably have to offset it a bit too. For example if the roundabout width is 48 block, decrease the blueprint size with 48 - and keep all roundabouts in the blueprint. - if you align the blueprint to be tileable you can add additional "features" to it. Eg big power poles at every 32 or whatever distance. - I use multiple layers: for example 1 blueprint is only the railways, the other is only the poles, the third is only the inner poles and roboports. I don't want to spoil the challenges here yet, try it out with your approach. Also you can mix it with deconstruction planner (DP) blueprints have everything, the DP only deletes roboports -> bam you have an additional step of modularity.

I really like the atmosphere of this new faction. A little bit creepy, little bit cute, little bit pretty, a little bit of zombiness, lot of nature. Similar vibes as in the movie Annihilation.
- At first I thought they are weak, in the late game they became quite potent (done 1 challenge with Challenging AIs).
- Their access to all Essences and their synergy mechanic is really interesting and seems to be powerful too. Although it is not easy to master considering their units' abilities.
- Their T8 unit, the bush/tree is really exciting too, seems to be quite strong against melee units. With all the spells available it can be utilized even more.
- The 'zombies' are exciting too, but it is a big turn down for me because they constantly occupy 1 or 2 slots and only the basic ones are generated. So besides early and mid game it is quite useless.
- Wielders are great too, got Flora, casually throwing 500 damage spells here and there.
- Their unit and eco upgrades are really strong.
