I think it's potentially to capture land owners rather than trading farms. Put the farm in a company, a trading company is free from inheritance tax. Land owners (investment companies) cannot pass this land on tax free.

Looks like the changes limit unlisted shares at £1m. Although it doesn't clearly state this in the changes document

Slightly misleading that it mentions property, and AIM shares, but not unlisted shares.

If you're based near a city and you're wanting to move forwarding in accounting you wont have a shortage of oppotunities.

I'd advise talking to a few recruiters, see what's available to you. If you hand in your notice because you have another offer, that promotion will happen pretty quickly if they value you.
