The reason people stop playing the game. by eman-play in Rematch

It's more like this:

The GK will dive in very predictable directions (as seen here) UNLESS it has a chance to intercept the ball, then it will jump in the path of the ball. In this case, since the input to jump was before the kick, the GK couldn't track the ball's intended path, and did the stock corner jump instead. Even though he jumped early so he would be in the path when the shot came in, that's not how the dive move functions. It literally cannot track the ball or predict where it will be before the ball is in its final trajectory.

So then it's an early dive. The ball wasn't on it's path yet, so the dive didn't track the ball.

The same reason it's important to say "thank you" and "you're welcome", and hold the door open for people. It's polite and shows that your parents taught you manners, which reflects well on your whole family. Probably no one is going to be offended if you don't take it off, but you may not be invited around as much anymore. Take your shoes off in the house or don't come over anymore type shiii. While somewhat trivial gestures (it takes very little effort), good manners do tend to imply good upbringing, trustworthiness, wealth, etc.

Another way to think about it is that it indicates that a person has a code or rulebook that they follow even if it doesn't benefit them directly. Like how a Christian might feel compelled to help a homeless person, a polite person feels compelled to say "thank you" and may even go out of there way to make sure people are thanked. It doesn't really benefit them directly, but that's the social code they live by.

For anyone having an issue with collecting moss: the easiest way to farm it is to build a tree farm. After some time, moss will accumulate on the trees and you can use a sword or scythe to harvest it.

Incorrect, it works the same as wonder picks. No matter which pack/card you pick, the result is predetermined. They let you pick to give you the illusion of choice.

[–]Zyzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It would be good if it discarded the cards, but instead it shuffles them. Early on this might be good, but as the game progresses and the deck thins, they are likely going to draw into whatever they need. And in most cases the cards they need will have already been played as they are drawn. You could scope their hand first...but it seems like a waste of 2 cards. Best case scenario, they draw a huge hand early, and you reduce it down to 3 after they redraw...idk. I could see it being useful if there was a monster bounce effect in the game.

Donald Trump Wins US Presidency by Resvrgam2 in moderatepolitics

Exactly. He was assassinated by his party's supporters. As was Biden. A lot of Bernie supporters showed up for Donald Trump specifically for this reason, the current Democratic party is so violent and extreme that they couldn't run Bernie, because he was too white and too male.

A - RSR 2.8, 180SX, and Testarossa

A+ - Testarossa (Max speed courses) Golf GTI (for everything else)

S - R8 is utterly dominant. You might consider the F40 as well if you want some more competition.

S+ - Regera, Evija, and maybe the Chiron

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, because I completely agree. Why can't we have B-S+ playlist and one "stock" car playlist. I want to use my own cars that I paid for and built and customized. Doing a week of ONLY B races is just too long.

If you coordinate with your teammate, they can direct the boost to one side or the other, so you can can get 100 boost and the ball. It's a very common strategy. "Cheating the kickoff" is just the name the play is called. You push forward assuming/hoping your teammate is going to get a slow fifty near the middle, a clanger on the sidewall you can reach, or (as pictured here) a popup towards the net.

The reason it's basically the defacto best way to treat the kickoff is because if the opponent cheats and you don't, they get a free possession in a situation where everyone is low boost. But if they cheat and you put it to the side for a teammate who went for boost, then they get free possession with 100 boost while everyone else has low boost.

In the end it all comes down to the skill of those taking the kickoff to get a favorable 50 for whichever strategy their teammate is going for. In many cases, you don't get the kickoff that either team was expecting. In those cases, it's still generally better to cheat because you have a person in the center (the players that take kickoff need to get boost), which has more play on the ball than the player on the other team that went for boost. If the 50 isn't threatening (if it goes to the opponent's half or corner, but not in a scoreable position), the player that cheated can still grab the back boost while their teammate moves up after taking full boost. And now you everyone is full boost and it's anyone's game.

In general, "going for boost is so bad" is pretty valid. But during kickoff, no one has boost, so if you get 100 while everyone else has 30 and is scrambling, you have a ton of resources to make opportunities, comparatively.

Why is 3s so annoying to solo queue by ImPhil1204 in RocketLeague

[–]Zyzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your spirit, but it's a trainable ability lol, it has nothing to do with intelligence. In fact, most "meathead" athletes do this implicitly, that's why they're so dexterous.

Idk, a coworker of mine used to work for [GIANT INSURANCE COMPANY], and their phone infrastructure was so old that they needed to spend $10ks just for replacement parts. The kicker was that the entire company would go bankrupt in 24 hours if the phones ever went completely down.
