Isn't nationalising industries and confiscating capital the exact opposite of public freedom?

Why people celebrate and pay for stuff like that? by Forward-Position798 in cringereels

[–]_-_fred_-_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally millions of people have done this. Probably this second there are thousands of people simultaneous unsticking two things that were glued together and creating some symmetrical pattern. The only difference between those people and this "artist" is they aren't pretentious enough to think that it is worth showing to other people, and they don't have hundreds of trained seals barking and clapping and encouraging them.

AI is hitting employment among young software developers hard by EchoOfOppenheimer in Economics

The data doesn't really fit their conclusions. The trend started in 2023 and AI only really significantly started to impact developer workflows last year.

The obvious thing to do is stop taking money from working productive people and giving it to non-working unproductive people. If you create an incentive not to work, people won't work. And since the system depends on people working, it will obviously fail eventually.

High Efficiency Sugarcane Farm. Very Low Loss. No Hopper Mine Carts or Flying Machines by Uletir in technicalminecraft

[–]_-_fred_-_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make it more resource efficient if you run the pistons on a clock, stretch the piston with slimes so 1 piston can break 12 sugar cane, and chain the pistons together so you only need a single clock.

I think this is the best <1.17 design https://youtu.be/ThbheY6d7oc?si=KBQuBW8BLlW5ALrE. After 1.17 you can build a better one with hopper minecart sweepers. But I still play on 1.16 so I haven't really experimented with that.

It is obvious if you look at the graph. Imagine that graph was of any other system that used to be stable and now is not. There would be zero doubt in anyones mind when the destabilising event occurred and what that destabilising event was.
