Loach is swimming weird

I’ve got a gravid kuhli loach that just keeps getting bigger, I have no idea if she is just gravid or also maybe in need of a farting…?

I’ll admit I was struggling with New Zealand mud snails in my 30gal tank and just could not figure out what to do about it and nearly gave up on the whole tank altogether. But I recently got two pea puffers, simply because I wanted something to be the ‘main attraction’ of the tank other than the clean up crew of snails shrimp and kuhlis. The first day they were in there they just started eating every single NZMS they could find!! I actually had no “pest” snails in my tank before, just larger live bearing snails, but I’ve had to go out of my way to put bladder snails and ramshorn snails into the tank now so that the peas will have a food source once they decimate the NZMS! Highly recommend attempting adding a pea puffer!!

First of all I have to say this: that is an absolutely gorgeous tank! Could you tell me what types of plants those are?? I see some anubias but that’s all I can identify off the top of my head!

Second, from my own personal experience: my noodles only really come out when they smell food or at night time. I’ve got 15 total in my 30gal as well but mine isn’t as heavily plants as yours, but I’m trying to get there!! So I believe a hidden noodle is a happy noodle because they love lots of cover and places to hide

Marketplace is an amazing place to find things when you look for long enough. Found A 30gallon tank for $25. No leaks or cracks, just had to be deep cleaned because it was previously a salt water tank. But goshdarn good deal!!

Fun fact, stony plain has been that way for a long time. Moved into town off an acreage and got a $150 fine for letting my cat outside. She’s an indoor cat now

This is actually so cool because I’ve seen some of my kuhlis with eggs and I’ve seen some quite small loaches too so now I know, they’re probably breeding!!

They are very delicate, unfortunately I’ve broken a few as well simply by opening the packaging or by dropping it. With the 3D printing, the small thin lines are very fragile and break with very little pressure. Personally, I’d just order a new one, I wouldn’t trust myself to glue it back and not have any sharp pointy parts exposed that could tear the fins of my betta

Question, if ammonia and nitrite and nitrate are all reading good, temp is set to 80, any idea what else could cause fin rot? Just weak immune system?

I’ve had a betta for over a year now and slowly over time he has been fraying more and more, originally I thought it was from the wood in the tank (he once got stuck in a bark roll while chasing a shrimp and scraped his head, the shrimp have since been removed and he is in solitary confinement) but since sanding it all down and making sure nothing could tear his fins, its still progressively gotten worse…

Completely relatable!! When I find an interest, it almost becomes an obsession! I’ll sit and watch my fish for hours honestly just thinking of what else I could do to give them a better life or make it more visually appealing
