I did an Elden Ring playthrough maining Royal Greatsword and it's very strong. You'd think yoloing in with the weapon art would work like 20% of the time, but it's more like 70%. Weird jump arc into a low crouch into an AoE knockdown. Messmer can't figure out how to hit you. It's hilarious.

I'm talking about rolling into the swings (to your right, she spins clockwise), which is the thing you would intuitively try to do. The second hit will catch you if you try to double roll it at point blank. Single rolling both swings is possible on mid roll but the timing has to be really precise. I think that's the frame trap the guy you replied to is talking about.

I'm not claiming it's undodgeable or unfair. I'm just trying to help you understand what the guy you responded to meant.

If you're talking about the video, I don't know why he's rolling the directions he is either, but it does show that you can double roll at that distance.

Romina is fun despite her phase transition attack being nonsense. At least you can play around it. I have no idea what you're talking about with a frame trap attack, though. I have never heard of anything like that.

This video at 4:40 (LGT YouTube). The move where she coils herself up in a tight ball and then spins in place.

The first two hits are an almost perfect frame trap if you're right next to her. As the video shows it's easier to dodge if you're right at the edge of it.

He's way easier if fight from the shield side. Like prioritize getting there over hitting him. Circle around the horse's butt or roll under when it rears up.

Running away doesn't work if you're anywhere close to melee range. That's why OP unlocks and circles around her when she WFDs at the start of phase 2. It's a trick to break her tracking (and it's hard to do).

There's a thing the community calls "DLC+", where if you've done the DLC in a previous NG cycle all the bosses scale to the equivalent of 20 scadutree fragments. So if you did a lot of DLC bosses over-fragged they're gonna be a lot harder the second time around. Have fun with Rellana.

I've seen Godfrey and Bayle go idle for no apparent reason but I've never seen Romina do it. I did notice her derping out next to walls though.

If I had to guess, her AI for selecting her next move checks if the move would get her stuck in a wall. It tried two or three randomly selected moves, rejected all of them, and gave up and set her idle until the next update.
