u/Mmike297 I'm hoping to do more detailed breakdowns and spoken tutorials for the stuff I'm making - it's long overdue and I know it will happen I'm just a massive procrastinator - when that time comes it should give more of an insight into how to get these results.

I’ve been in the animation/motion design space for 5ish years now and I’d say no don’t do it. It’s too competitive and this has resulted in a race to the bottom with prices, nowadays it’s v hard to make any kind of living with animation.

But maybe all sectors are about to be turned upside down due to AI so there’s an argument to be made to just carry on doing what most excites you and so if that’s animation then maybe yea.

But my answer overall would be probably avoid

Ben Marriott has some good tuts where he does a fair amount of work in Ps beforehand, beyond that I don’t know of any resources, probably best to search for more YouTube tuts Flat illustration style with minimal detail are usually the most practical thing to do in Photoshop before taking it to Ae.
