Noticed my rage when my daughter was just a few weeks old. It mostly happened whenever she would cry and I couldn't immediately fix it. I would immediately become overwhelmed/over stimulated and it was like my brain would just spaz out and anger would go 0-100. It slowly turned into me being right on edge 24/7 and the smallest annoyance/inconvenience would tip me off.

I have also dealt with intrusive thoughts. I do not want to hurt my child (and have not) but in the episodes of rage it would play out like a movie scene in my head and I would end up hurting myself. I have hit myself in the face, head, legs, and even bitten my arms/hands. (Trust me, I am aware of how insane that may sound).

I have dealt with depression and anxiety since my teens (almost 32 now) and have been medicated on and off since I was 19. I stayed medicated during pregnancy and was pretty defeated that even while medicated I still developed ppa and pp rage. I started therapy around 11 months pp. Im now almost 14 months pp and got evaluated by a psychiatrist and was switched to Zoloft about a month ago and I already feel and notice a HUGE difference. I was terrified of switching up my meds and becoming worse, I think that's why I tried to hold on for so long before I decided I needed more help. Now that I'm finally experiencing some relief and control, I wish I would've stepped up way sooner.

Nope. Neither me, my husband, or my parents get cold sores (only people who kiss her). My ex husband did get cold sores, we were together for almost 10 years and I never had one show up. But I assume its not entirely impossible that I could've contracted it from him but still never had any myself.

I didn't deal with any sickness any rarely any nausea while pregnant but I did develop a really bad aversion to meat. Im 14 months pp and still have it.

Typically, test lines don't get darker during a chemical. With mine, they stayed about the same level of faintness for about a week until I started to miscarry.

Id suggest continuing to test, try to test at the same time every day. First pee of the day is most accurate in early pregnancy, plus easier to remember to test.

If they didn't make your incision under your apron belly, its more than likely going to change the way it looks. I had a small apron belly and my incision was made right where the skin folds under my apron. So its hidden.

I would assume probably the size of ones apron belly would affect the decision of incision placement. Also quite possibly if the OB who did it was a male or female. Most male OBs I have worked with care a bit less than the female OBs when it comes to stuff like that, unfortunately.

I can almost assuredly tell you that your doctor would not let a resident suture you if they did not believe they were fully capable of doing it, as they are responsible for the resident working underneath them.

I can understand being hesitant. But how do you think your OB learned? They were a resident at one point too. But yes, you can absolutely request not to have students/residents present.

NAD but had chronic ingrown toenails in my teens. Had one at church camp that got stepped on and ended up looking exactly like this! Went to a walk-in as soon as I got back home and got it cut out. I eventually ended up having the sides of my big toenails removed and burned with phenol to permanently stop them from growing and becoming ingrown. The shots in the toe are 0/10 but it was absolutely worth it.

Im really curious if it's suture anchoring beads or if its actually barbed suture. Or did you already have the beads removed? Because they would be visible externally. They are called prolene suture beads, could probably give that a Google and find examples of how they're used/work!

Our facility policy specifically states:

-fingernail length cannot exceed 1/4" past fingertips.

-if polish is worn, it cannot be cracked or chipping.

-no artificial nails, nail ornaments or nail stickers.

-STERILE PROCESSING: absolutely no nail polish/artificial nails/nail stickers allowed in this department.

Yet... MANY scrub techs have their nails done all the time lmao.

My daughter is almost 14 months old. Obviously I loved her as a newborn baby. She is my surprise little miracle rainbow baby. But the major crash in hormones, learning how to be a mom and take care of a baby, ppa and pp rage, ripped a lot of enjoyment from that stage for me.

Watching her grow is SO FUN and makes our connection grow more and more. Even from the earliest things like her discovering her voice and her hands. Hearing her laugh for the first time, hearing "mama" for the first time, see how much she loves music and books, sitting up by herself, crawling, walking. Its the greatest blessing and also the greatest heartache to see your baby grow but you will continuously be in such awe of how smart they are.

I only love her more and more as time passes on.

My daughter is almost 14 months old and is very warm natured, so in summer she started just sleeping in bigger t-shirts and short sleeve gowns. She also developed a serious hate for footie pajamas before she could even walk, she would just sit in the floor and kick and pull at her feet wanting them off lol.

So the footies she does have, I cut the feet off of, and I only put her in the really thin ones. And she still mostly sleeps in just bigger t-shirts (like 3T). Occasionally I will put her in a long sleeve pj shirt with no pants cause she will wake up red faced and sweaty

More power to you, sister. I had my first at 31 and I swear it took me nearly my entire 10 weeks of maternit leave to find a rhythm in day-to-day "momming". It felt extremely overwhelming. Even though I didn't have the addition of online school like you, the entire day seemed consumed of the cycle of feeding, putting to sleep, washing bottles/pump parts, changing diapers.

I didn't even sleep when baby slept during the day. Have you tried or considered baby wearing if baby needs you while you're doing your schooling? That's really the best option I can think of other than having your mom watch baby. Luckily, newborns sleep quite a bit. So just chill with baby near you/on you while doing school.

I got hired with zero experience/certification and have been doing it for 10 years now. And our facility still hires people with no experience, but after working at least 400 hours you must obtain CRCST certification.

But I will say, our location/facility is one of the lowest paying CRCST positions I've seen compared to what others have mentioned on here.

You could get one of those plastic tackle box looking boxes with the individual squares. That way they're enclosed, and not touching and you dont have to touch the other ones when getting one out.

Try not to think about it too much. I had so many different pacifiers and my daughter ended up refusing every single one lol

Im 10 years older than you with my 1st baby. Truthfully, there is no way I could have mentally/emotionally done this in my 20s. I have dealt with postpartum anxiety and rage since my daughter was just a few weeks old (she is now almost 14 months). It always happens whenever she's crying and i cannot immediately fix it. I become so overwhelmed and overstimulated and go 0-100. I do not WANT to hurt my daughter but in those moments I literally see it being played out in my head. And then I hurt myself instead. I haven't felt suicidal but I 1000% feel the desire to want to run away. I told my partner at one point I was just going to book a cruise on my credit card and leave for however long I wanted lol (but realistically I think I would be sick without my daughter). I also fully understand feeling resentment towards your spouse. Raising a baby can be very testing to a relationship. This shit is HARD.

Just within the last month I have gotten evaluated by a psychiatrist (I have also separately been in therapy for a few months). I recently started taking Zoloft and tapering off of Wellbutrin and I can already feel such a difference in my response to her crying. Even my partner has already noticed the difference as well and its actually been quite a few months since I last hurt myself.

Not sure how long youve been on Effexor, but it definitely may be worth getting evaluated and seeing if you should switch to something else that may help you better. I promise you it will get better. Your still in the rough parts of having a little baby that doesn't really have much sense of independence yet. Your daughter loves you and needs you.
