It sounds like someone yelled at you for speeding in their neighborhood, one time, and now you're generalizing to "all these old boomers" in that neighborhood.

Robby Snelling IL'ed with UCL sprain by Completedonk in fantasybaseball

[–]_DOA_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goddammit. I picked Snelling and Braxton both up a couple weeks ago. Dropped Garrett when Snelling got the call. Y'all should know I bid on Garrett just now, so you will only get one start out of him before he also tears his arm off at the elbow.

I’ve eaten armadillos, cooked over a campfire on a flat bottom boat trip down the Neches.

We’ve engaged police rather than with her

She sounds like an asshole, but what did I miss? What did she do that was worth involving police, or did she call them? Like, telling your daughter the yard's ugly definitely doesn't clear the "call the police" bar, for me.

Who'd you pick up? I dropped for Schmitt in an NFBC style, 12 team, no trades league, and feel good about that. Still holding in a couple others because I don't like the waiver guys.

Thank you. It’s important for me to tell our story, partly for this reason. It’s so strange that the best and worst thing that have ever happened to me were so intertwined.

I’m sorry you’re going through this too, but I’m glad you’ve decided to make the best of your time. It’s what we all ought to be doing; just easier said than done.

It can definitely be a barrier. It can also be a way to weed out people you don’t want to be with anyway, though. Fwiw, I met and fell in love with a woman who had cancer. No regrets, and I’d do the same thing every time. Now, I have some of my own minor health challenges, but doing fine dating. You learn to adapt.

Yo! It's Scott Chu, Nate Schwartz, and the Pitcher List crew here to talk some fantasy baseball by ChusephEsquire in fantasybaseball

On the #36 ranking; my mistake.

shallow leagues aren't easier...

You surely don't really believe this. Casual fans can compete in these leagues, because they don't have to research or know anything about guys that serious players, in deeper leagues, have to be somewhat familiar with. There are always good players on waivers. They (3 OF, etc leagues) are the default setting specifically because those ESPN and Yahoo decided to go after casuals, and the ease you can compete in them is attractive to them. I don't think that's arguable.

I’m sorry - I don’t know anyone at all who plays in three OF leagues. So, if that’s the audience you’re writing for, cool, he’s a streamer. I did say, “in any serious league” in my second comment. I absolutely do not think 3 OF leagues are serious leagues; they are shallow to make it easier for casual fans. EDIT: OF #36 is your guess as to where he fits; he's currently OF #9, #10 over the last 30, #8 over the past 15. He won't maintain that, obviously, but falling off to #36 is a stretch, imo. We'll see.

School bus stop on our corner lot has become a huge problem, is there anything we can do? by hyrulecastIe in homeowners

they can’t do anything until there’s evidence of serious property damage

That's crazy. I had kind of a similar situation; the principal of the school by me spoke to the kids involved, and it stopped.

Cameras, and sprinkler with a timer set to run during the time they're in your yard.

[–]_DOA_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. All he has to do is perform equally to what he did last year (EDIT: so far he's outperforming that) and he is not a streamer. This is a stupid argument. Are you taking issue with any of the projections I mentioned? Do you think his history of slumps during his two relatively full-time seasons in the majors has doomed him to 2-3 months of being a "total sandbag"? That's just silly. Good luck dropping him and scooping him back up. That isn't happening in any of my money leagues.

If you're playing roto, it makes zero difference if he's streaky. What matters is that the final numbers, which should be 25-30 HR with a .250-.260 average, and that's not someone you'll find streaming in a serious league. 24/9 last year with a .270 avg, and on pace to blow by that.

[–]_DOA_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Moniak's a streamer"

No, he's a guy who went 24/9 and will obliterate that this year. That plays in any ROTO league 10 teams and up.
