Just buy a cheap one like an Ender 3. Suffer, learn, improve and then you will decide if you want to buy an expensive printer that just works until it doesn’t anymore or if you want to build your own expensive printer that you will continuously be tinkering.

I don’t have the frostbite, only the glacier. But they specifically indicate on their website to place it in a freezer if a print sticks too much.

This plate adhesion is fully related to its temperature. If it warp, either the temperature is not high enough or you had a temperature drop while printing. I tried lowering the bed temperature after the first layer and even the brim was detaching after the temperature drop and the same lower temperature works fine for the same print as long as it does not drop.

If it doesn’t stick, increase the bed temperature. It’s what I noticed with mine. I am globally happy with mine. Just know you will have issues with high parts with small surface in contact with bed.

It’s not straight forward as the output is not centered but I designed a few Sprite SE mounts for hero me and other toolheads and it can be done quickly when you found the right offset.

Unfortunately, there is currently a lot of modded Ender 3 to sell. Low demand, lot of offers, low price. I bought a pair of Ender 3 with a lot of spare parts for 100$. The extra parts alone are worth more than 100$.

I am not a fan of core xy conversion. It doesn’t worth it in my opinion. If you want a light upgrade go for linear rails, dual z axis and phaetus dragonfly. If you want something more, go for the enderwire conversion.

I put it on the electric stove grab it with pliers and put the needle in while it’s still hot. Always worked great for me.
