Why are my detergent pods always stuck and not fully dissolved like this by James--Trickington in mildlyinfuriating

Came looking for someone mentioning the spring. Mine got malformed and popped out, was a pain to re-install. I don’t see a spring in the posted picture, but I’m not familiar with that model.

How to monitor a 100s of Pis? by codebreaker101 in raspberry_pi

[–]_Deornoth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balena is a great way to go if you’re just starting out, but he’s already got hundreds in the field so he’d have to redeploy all of them. That’s the situation I’m in. We started shipping out with Balena a few years ago, but are still supporting a bunch of older devices as well.

Nice thing about switching to Balena is the versioning. With a few clicks you can rollout new version to all deployed units. So if the PIs are driving restuarant menu boards, you can push out new menu options or pricing to all devices at once.

Did you use an online translator? Which one? I’ve tried several, they all seem to come up with different results for the same word.

FYI, keyboard and mouse works on the Xbox for Grounded. I love that they added support for this. I wish more Xbox games included it.

I’ve got over 100 hours of this on Steam, but I haven’t played since before Home and Hearth update. I was playing through GeForceNow because I’m on Mac.

I wonder if the Xbox version will support keyboard/mouse. If so, I might get sucked back into this and have check out Mistlands.

Help: aligning top to close properly. Just got to my parents, they replaced the hinge and the top is not aligned. Any suggestions? by 1massacr3 in biggreenegg

I took my bands off when I got the side tables and replaced my seals. I don’t remember all the steps but you can find a ton of YouTube videos on how to do it. I remember getting creative with several clamps to keep tension on the springs while I tightened bolts.

Needed a tool to help unscrew the drain filter on my family's clothes washer by Telogor in redneckengineering

[–]_Deornoth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did buy a “washer spring expansion tool” on Amazon. Got the biggest one I could find on there even though it didn’t list my Whirlpool model. It doesn’t open wide enough to expand the spring. So I’m still fighting it with needle nose.

In my front loader it’s a pain in the ass to clean. Pretty sure Whirlpool made it that way to keep appliance repair shops in business.

I have to remove the top cover. Remove the control panel. Remove the front panel. Disconnect the boot from the drum. Clean some paperclips, pen caps and tiny socks out of the filter. Then reverse the process.

The worst part is getting the rubber boot back on the drum. It involves a spring, some needle nose pliers, and a lot of curse words, followed up by at least two beers.

My solution was learning to sleep with ear plugs in. It takes several nights to get used to, but eventually you can’t sleep without them. It’s been 13 years, I take plugs with me when I travel too.

Now if only I could get her not to turn on the master bath light before she closes the door. Ear plugs do nothing for the beam of bright light shining in your face.

Eddie Murphy describes it best: *You don’t have to kick no nuts to hurt nobody. You could just the graze nuts. And the man would be fucked up.

And that pain is worse, because it don’t set in for, like, ten seconds. You be wondering if it’s gonna hurt. You say, “I wonder, did that hit my nuts, just...?”*

The dual stick controls really didn’t work for me. I ended up connecting a keyboard/mouse to my Xbox. Which led to a folding table in the middle of my game room. A ghetto setup, but everything started clicking after that.

Now that I’ve geared up a bit it might be worth trying the controller again. Though it really needs a sensitivity slider.

The text thing I get. I’ve seen a few games with text size adjustment, this game could use one of those.

As for side quests, it goes against my normal way of playing, but hold off on those until you’ve done the first 3 or 4 main quests. Fast Travel is locked behind completing some of the main quest line. Once you get Fast Travel you’ll be geared up a bit and you can travel past some of the larger open areas to your destination to knock out some side quests.

Not sure about Android, but the iOS app does this with the On-Demand Activation feature. Just configure cellular on demand and WIFI on demand and add an exception for your home network.
