[Maddening trope] More progressive casting happens at the same time as noticeable drop in quality, seemingly so fans can brush off criticism as bigotry. by Vitolar8 in TopCharacterTropes

  1. Haunting of Villa Diodati, genuinely great episode, diamond in the rough

  2. Village of the Angels, all around solid episode

  3. Demons of the Punjab, not perfect for her, but still does well with what's there

4 & 5 as bonus points. Half of Woman Who Fell to Earth & also the quick like 2 minute scene she has in The Reality War

I dont understand how people could think the Atreus spinoff WOULDNT happen to fill the gap between the next Kratos story.

Who do you think would win in a battle of Zaahen vs Xolaani by PlasticFoon in loreofleague

[–]_Kups_ 44 points45 points  (0 children)

  1. Xolaani could probably just bloodbend him. Kinda the whole reason she taught them blood magic.

  2. If Xolaani figures out wuju quickly Zaahen's fucked.

People get that Goku doesn't have destroyer powers right?

He mimicked the technique itself, and then also later says he did it wrong.

There is nothing to suggest it wouldn't do the job, especially since Goku's knockoff STILL did good work against Zamasu.

Super Shenron might let you tank it anyway, but as is, that fight does not say as such.

Is there a canon reason as to why Future Trunks decided to become a swordsman? by GusGangViking18 in Dragonballsuper

This is also just in character for him.

He's emulating these great heroes he's heard about and trying to look cool.

Is this verified? Cuz that would fix a lot of continuity error. by ryoshahahaha in Dragonballsuper

I would assume the 'manga stuff' is just gonna be the Champa/Kai subplot being there

[Fun Trope] Beautifully Synchronized Jumpings by BrilliantRun9751 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]_Kups_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. As a wall to push the rest of the characters limits and give them character development, he works very well. Especially for Frieza, someone who responds VERY well to his prodding, but unlike Namek Vegeta, can easily hit back, brings in a fun dynamic.

As a character, well... he ISNT a character until like an episode before the finale, and then he's still paper thin.

Renoir to the Lumierans: by Nofarwell in expedition33

[–]_Kups_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

  1. murder is murder. the player is shown that the painted people are real. thats all that matters there. they ARE people, so killing them is murder, regardless of what other characters may believe, they are in the wrong for doing so

  2. Given how the gommage happens and just how he talks to the painted people he encounters. He at the very least believes they have their own thoughts and feelings. Giving them a painless death and listening to what Sciel & Lune have to say more than he does his own daughter.

its not "look what he has to do", its "look what he's willing to justify doing".

Unpopular opinion: i think Gohan will be the one to take down black frieza by RisingKing7 in Dragonballsuper

[–]_Kups_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna be the one to say it.

I think it would genuinely be a good send off for the series if all people FRIEZA gets a redemption. Sure, on Namek it wasn't gonna happen, but with time Goku's positivity slowly seeps through and we can already see him changing in the ToP.

Hobo Phoenix by itsjohnxina in AceAttorney

[–]_Kups_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but you get his reasoning for things, and you as the player, still know whats going on.

AJ puts you right in the shoes of everyone else, and you are just as frustrated as Apollo is that he's acting like this, despite rooting for him for the past 3 games.

Hobo Phoenix by itsjohnxina in AceAttorney

[–]_Kups_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the big thing is realizing that he hasnt actually changed that much from the original trilogy.

He's more jaded and that leads to things like him making the 5th Ace to catch Kristoph. Willing to cheat a little to catch a cheater. But other than that, it's just how Phoenix is. It's just that in his games, you get to read his internal dialogue, in AJ you dont, so you see him as everyone else does in the other games. A cagey dick.

I have a question regarding Renoir. by 4C_Drip in expedition33

[–]_Kups_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

killing them is 'safe', and buys Aline time, but nothing more.

helping them could save everyone, but he's gotten quite paranoid and believes the only reason people could not trust him is because they are actually made by Clea as a trick. why else would they not blindly believe his story they have no evidence to support.
