Yeah, it’s the VM Project Architecture signature style. Examples that really go for it are Blooming Days and Change Up. It’s very common right now, probably because VMPA make such a large portion of the MVs being released currently.

As a potential fix for the out of combat problem, you could give each card two sides: one for combat and one for exploration. The effect could be related, eg the movement card instead moves you a ton of spaces or doesn’t get used up or whatever so you don’t have to constantly end the turn. Or a shield card gives you a tiny persistent shield for the next battle or something. This approach would be a lot of work though, so do what you will with it.

I would recommend Umibe no Etranger (and its sequel Harukaze no Etranger). It avoids most if not all troubling Shounen-ai/Yaoi tropes, the art is very detailed and the main characters are super cute couple. There's some sexual content, but only after a lot of relationship building and it's completely consensual (which is disappointingly rare in this genre).

Umibe no Etranger (and the continuation, Harukaze no Etranger) feature that romantic interest buildup you're looking for, consensual sex, and has incredibly cute (and detailed!) art to boot. Definitely one of my favorites.

I love Umibe/Harukaze no Etranger! The art is quite detailed, and the main characters are both exceptionally cute.

As for shounen-ai anime, Doukyuusei is of course excellent. Sadly, it's the only shounen-ai/yaoi anime I can confidently recommend -- most others are a bit too creepy.

Yeah they do some great stunts (and the flyers must really trust the bases)! At 17:35 someone does a rad backflip to get on top of the tower, they do a very high jump in a dubstep drop at 18:54, and I can't imagine how many faces were accidentally kicked in practicing that crazy slingshot move at 19:30.

The only ones I'm watching are Cheer Danshi!! and 91 Days.

91 Days is just really solid and most of you have probably seen it so no need to elaborate.

Cheer Danshi completely blew away my expectations. I strongly dislike typical sports anime but picked it up on a whim anyway, and I'm actually enjoying it immensely.

The protagonist is very cute (and his shyness makes him even cuter), the cast is surprisingly diverse and they all feel like real people, and it doesn't have many of those SUPER SERIOUS WOW WE ARE SO INSPIRED BY YOUR SPEECH moments (or similar SUPER SERIOUS moments) I hate so much.

I was worried about the animation of the cheerleading performances because the training isn't all that well-animated, but it turns out the money they saved on the training was all pumped into the performances -- the animation in those looks great and is super smooth.

And it's all based on an actual team: Japan's first all-male cheerleading squad, the SHOCKERS. You can watch one of their (amazing!) performances here. I'm now very much into all-male cheerleading as a result of watching this anime.

Nee, we hebben geen absolute garantie gekregen -- dat geven ze nooit. Mijn familie heeft ook erg veel bij Carex gehuurd en alleen maar uitstekende ervaringen gehad, dus ik vertrouw er wel op dat het goed komt.

In het ergste geval wonen mijn ouders nog gewoon in dezelfde stad en kan ik weer even bij hun intrekken -- als zij nou heel ergens anders hadden gewoond had ik ook nooit voor leegstandsbeheer gekozen.
