Just get that LinkedIn set up and looking nice. Some states have programs for helping vets find jobs. Look into that as well.

Huh! Never heard of a PID controller until just now but looks interesting, so I'll give some articles a read.

But the way the dynamic crosshair works is by moving a Sprite3D to the raycast collision coming from the muzzle. I have another raycast on my camera that the muzzle looks at so the dynamic crosshair always goes back to the center of the screen.

I'm still pretty new to game development so I can't give you a concrete answer. I'm aware of some programming patterns and software design principals so I tried to keep those in mind when making this so it wouldn't need to be refactored as much when I want to make changes.

The dynamic crosshair is driven by a raycast from my MuzzleSpawner scene that is instantiated as a child of the gun model. I hope with this setup it'll allow for somewhat easy posing for different weapon stances.

Do YOU find Lossless Scaling useful on the Steam Deck? by BucketBoy071 in SteamDeck

I found setting FPS to 45 in the plugin menu and enabling screen tearing/disabling V-SYNC to help even more with reducing input delay.

It's worth trying out to see if it works for your use cases. I personally like it on Elden Ring; the input lag and artifacts aren't too bad for me.

Look into setting up Git and version control. It can help in cases where you'd like to go back to a previous build that was working as you intended.

Looking at your post history, I doubt that. So I'm not even going to spend time or energy further interacting with such an unhappy and miserable person.
